What a wonderful property, if you are looking to completely unwind in a stunning location, this is the property to do it at. Even though the Corn in field was high restricting the sea view from the lower floor, it was more than made up for waking up with the view out to sea from the bed in the morning and going to sleep to it. We will definitely be back again.

Such a beautiful home and location

We were just blown away with the beautiful views of this property. So much space and the views and lighting through out the house were perfect. I highly recommend this location.

Incredible view

What a view to wake up to in the morning! Loved our stay at Millin Bay House- very relaxing and easy to move in to. Small grocery store within 3 miles for food and close to Portaferry for dining out. Everything we needed was there- excellent VRBO- hope to stay there again some day

Amazing

Stay was fab have absolutely no complaints. Amazing views even when the weather ain’t great. Lovely and peaceful we can’t wait to stay again. The kids loved it

Easter break

Lovely house with a commanding view. Love the Ards peninsula. The house was fantastic loved the family kitchen. Spotlessly clean, very warm and the beds very comfy. Eileen was lovely and available on the phone if any help was needed. Well equipped kitchen too. Great place for peace and quiet and a family get together.

Stunning views

We had a lovely stay at this property. The location was perfect for sightseeing & because of its remoteness it was ideal to relax & unwind from the every day hustle & bustle of life. The views were spectacular especially from the bedrooms. The house itself was spotless & had ample room leaving it spacious & airy. Our only complaint was that the furniture downstairs has seen much better days & was well worn & uncomfortable. The kitchen had very few cooking utensils especially for oven use which was a pity! It would have been nice to have a few basic condiments & a small welcome pack which we have had in many other self catering holiday homes of same price. All that being said everyone enjoyed their stay.

2nd Half of Portaferry Vacation

In the eleventh hour we ended up needing to stay in Portaferry for an extra 4 days. We were staying at Flora Cottage which we loved, but it was booked, so Karin offered us Millin Bay House only a stones throw away. My partner is disabled and pretty much wheelchair restricted but we made it work as it’s a two story home with bedrooms and bathrooms on the second floor. However we made use of two of the multiple ground floor couches for sleeping and there is also a ground floor shower stall which we did make use of by borrowing a shower chair. Location is gorgeous, house is gorgeous, so bright and cheery. Everything we needed to make it work for 3 extra nights, so it was perfect. Perfect for family visitors to join us and just hang out.

Great location but difficult host

Positives: House is in a remote and beautiful location next to the ocean, very private and the view from the bedrooms is incredible. Challenges: Our first morning, we were woken up by a builder at 8 30 am working on the fence outside our window. It scared me to see a man outside unexpectedly without notice, especially since the house is so remote. Host should have let us know in advance. We weren't sure how long we would be staying so we booked for what we thought, but when we ended up leaving two days early, host refused to refund. We didn't know what the symbols on the washer, dryer, or dishwasher meant and when I asked, the host told me to Google it. I did and couldn't find anything. The remote for the TV didn't work, so we had to get up every time to change channels. Took us awhile to figure out how to work the stovetop. Instructions are needed.

Hi Lisa. Many thanks for taking the trouble to write a review. As you know you originally booked to come on the 5th June but you asked if we could let you stay on 4th . I agreed but I didn't know that the builder had arranged for the joiner to finish the works in the garden on the morning of 5th. Although I had been due to do things in the house on 5th I didn't, as you know, so that I wouldn't disturb you. On your change of dates, as I am new to Airbnb , I looked up the rules and they said no refund. I take the point on the instructions booklets - you emailed me at 23.30 one evening saying you were American and didn't understand the diagrams on the washer, the dryer or the dishwasher. All I could suggest was that you take down the model number and make and then try to find the instructions on Google. We don't have instruction booklets for them but I will try to find them for future guests. The hob is brand new and I will put the instructions in the information folder. Apart from the challenges that you referred to I hope that you enjoyed your stay and that we can welcome you back in the future. Kind regards Karen
