Pretty Spanish Villa Situated In A Picturesque Valley. Please enquire fordetails
This typically Spanish villa, set in a valley surrounded by orange groves and pine covered mountains, is located approximately 1 mile from the local village in a secluded location. The villa is reached through secure gates along a palm lined drive which has parking for several cars. There are steps leading up to the the shaded terrace and living area. The swimming pool is 8m x 4m with a paella/BBQ house situated by the pool area. There is a full size enclosed tennis court surrounded by orange trees. The large, well maintained gardens contain various fruit trees and shrubs with plenty of places to sit and relax. I live on site in seperate accomodation for help and advice if required. Renters have complete exclusivity to the pool and tennis court. There is sky satellite television fitted.
There is a games room with a pool table, music, and a child friendly dart board. My wife is an aroma therapist who offers various forms of massage who also offers a yoga class on a Sunday morning for those interested.
Location Information: This is an idyllic setting in a beautiful rural location. There are stunning mountain views and pleasant walks; the area is flat enough for cycling or mountain biking in the surrounding pine covered mountains.
The village boasts 3 restaurants which serve the menu of the day, there is a supermarket, baker, a local chemist and a hairdressing salon. I also have access to another villa if i am booked so please enquire
Attractions in the area: The town of Gandia is 20 minutes drive away and has excellent shops and supermarkets. As this is an area where Spanish people live and work the town is open all year, unlike more tourist based towns that partially close out of season. Gandia beach is reputedly the best in Europe with its white sandy beach and beautiful promenade.
Inland are vineyards, orange and almond groves and quiet Spanish towns for those who like to explore.
The nearest beach, Tavernes Playa, is only 15 minutes drive and the town of Tavernes de la Valldigna is 10 minutes away. Alzira, with its busy shops, restaurants and nightlife is 8 minutes away.
A visit to Valencia city, hosts of the Americas Cup 2007, is recommended. Here you can visit the Oceanographic and science museum to name but two of the new tourist attractions. Benidorm, with its teeming night life and Terra Mitica theme park is an hour’s drive away. There is a new 18 hole golf cource called La Galiana
15 Mar 2009 - 19 Mar 2009 Date to be confirmed
This is one of the best-known and most emblematic festivals in Spain which continues to grow in popularity each year. Tens of thousands of visitors join the whole city of Valencia in this festival of fire, in a mood of excitement and gaiety. Fallas are giant figures built of paper mache, wood and wax, and which represent personalities and current events of the day. They may be symbolic or satirical in theme, realistic or comic-strip in style. Certainly they are elaborate, built with consummate care in different workshops around the city, over the course of the year. Known locally as 'Ninots', they go up in flames on StJoseph's Night (19 March), reaching a blazing climax near midnight, when flames leap skywards all over the city centre and thousands of fireworks discharge over the rooftops. Events unfold over several days beforehand, divided into Exaltation (Offering of Flowers),
