We really enjoyed our stay at Applegarth .

We really enjoyed our stay at Applegarth . The cottage is very homely , warm & cosy with a lovely enclosed garden for dogs & is excellent value for money . The cottage is in the perfect location , set on a quiet side street in beautiful Cockermouth within easy reach of the western lakes . We will definitely be visiting again without a doubt .

A lovely cosy cottage right in the centre of town, close to shops, pubs and restaurants.

A lovely cosy cottage right in the centre of town, close to shops, pubs and restaurants. The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were so comfy. The people of Cockermouth were very welcoming and friendly, we will definitely come back and hopefully book Applegarth again.

Highly recommend Applegarth, lovely cottage close to amenities, central to explore the lakes. Kitchen well equipped, comfortable furniture, bedrooms nice size, comfy beds. Beautiful garden, we made apple pie with the windfall We had a perfect family holiday, made even more so with the sunshine from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.

myself and my wife and two dogs had an absolutely amazing stay in this beautiful cottage.

myself and my wife and two dogs had an absolutely amazing stay in this beautiful cottage. The garden is stunning with a plentiful supply of apples, which we collected and passed onto the very friendly neighbours. The accommodation is top notch and really tastefully furnished with everything you'd ever need in the kitchen. We fell in love with Cockermouth on this holiday and loved exploring many of the other local towns and lakes within an easy drive. we particularly loved Allonby, Maryport and Buttermere.

A lovely cottage in the centre of Cockermouth, but tucked away in a VERY peaceful street. Everything has been provided in cottage, that you could possibly want.We’ve had a lovely break made all the more special by the lovely neighbours who live next door.Highly recommend.

We were impressed with the cottage- clean and well equipped and very central for the lovely town of Cockermouth. And warm enough . Nice touch to leave some logs. Our only issue was the lack of parking- we had a permit for local council car park which was in with the price. But it was not made clear how narrow the street was- instructions to park outside and let people pass doesn’t work when other cars can’t pass due to the narrowness of the street! Had to drive round town to unload and again to load the car. This put us off. Apart from that it was a lovely place.

Lovely property with a beautiful garden at the rear with fruit trees, and stunning flowers. The house itself was clean and beautifully set up for us.Parking to unpack is a bit of a pain; and only one set of keys, for the front door, proved to be an issue when we left it inside… an extra key would have prevented that stress!! And to be honest, an extra toilet somewhere would be nice as 6 people and 1 bathroom is not enough!
