The Space:

A well-appointed kitchen features a full-size fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine plus top of the range Bertazzoni induction oven. There is dining for six. The ground floor also features a separate office for guest use and a comfortable lounge with large SMART TV with Freeview, books and games. Plus cosy garden room.



Upstairs a spacious king master bedroom. Double guest room with a smart TV and wardrobe and a third twin/double room. All bedrooms have comfort mattresses, hotel quality linens and bath sheets. A family bathroom with a shower and bath, along with a separate downstairs cloak. Faith in Nature toiletries are provided for use during your stay.



The expansive garden at Kings Cottage includes a charming orchard, providing a picturesque setting for outdoor dining. Built in the 1990s to harmonize with its surroundings, the cottage exudes the charm of a 17th-century house while offering modern comforts.



Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the River Wylye is a renowned chalk stream teeming with wildlife, from Trout and Water Voles to Egrets, Kingfishers, and Otters. The Deverill area hosts one of the country's oldest organic farms, attracting rare bird species.



A haven for hikers, the Deverills offer immediate access to diverse walking trails, including the 68-mile Mid-Wilts Way, running alongside the garden. The valley, the second least populated area in the country, provides quiet roads ideal for cycling.



Nearby attractions include the esteemed Stourhead House and Gardens, Longleat, Centre Parks with its Aqua Sana spa, and the hidden gem of Shearwater Lake. The village, equidistant from Bath and Salisbury, offers a 30-minute scenic drive to Stonehenge.

Parking

Kings Cottage has private gated parking for one large vehicle. If you have more than one car please park on the corner opposite the property as the neighbour requires access to the EV charging point which is located to the right of the property.



From Kings Cottage in Kingston Deverill, there are various transportation options to explore the surrounding areas:



Car

Having a car provides the most flexibility. You can easily access nearby attractions like Stourhead, Longleat, and Shearwater Lake, as well as the cities of Bath and Salisbury. Parking is available for two cars at Kings Cottage.



Foot

Enjoy walks and hikes directly from Kings Cottage. Explore the beautiful countryside, including the 68-mile Mid-Wilts Way that runs alongside the garden.



Bicycle

The quiet roads in the Wylye Valley make it an ideal spot for cycling. Kings Cottage provides secure bike storage.



Train

Warminster train station offers frequent services to Bath and Bristol, providing convenient transportation options from London and other areas.



Taxi

It's best to pre book a taxi to and from the train station. Call K&I Cars, Taxi and Private Hire to arrange.



Bus

The 57 bus offers a route from Warminster to Kingston Deverill. Stopping by St Marys church, there is a pathway through the church yard to Kings Cottage garden.



Other Things to Note:

We do have quiet hours between 8am and 10pm in respect of our neighbours.



The twin room can be made as a king on request.



Check in is at 4pm and checkout is at 10am.



Early check-in/Late check out can be offered by availability at £15 per hour



A cot and highchair can be provided per stay at an extra cost:
