Beach Comber Lake Side canvas Cottage Tent

NO LINENS, PILLOWS, OR TOWELS PROVIDED, YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN.
The cottage is located on 15 to 20 acre lake. We have seven unique cottages on one peninsula. You have your own fire pit area to set and relax and cookout. We designed the cottages to let you disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city. You will feel like you’re camping without all the hardships of camping. You can kayak or paddle on the lake.
You get the use of two kayaks with the rental of your cottage. We also have Jon boats and paddle boards available for rent, depending on availability. Firewood is available on site $6.00 bundle kilm dried state certified. NO OUTSIDE FIREWOOD ALLOWED PLEASE unless wrapped and state certified. SWIMMING IS ALLOWED YOU SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY. All guests must sign a waiver before going on or in the water.

This was our second time staying here. It was even better than the last time. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, and then relaxing in the ac so we can do it all again. We will be back again

Best kept secret Gem in Indiana. Don’t tell anyone!

My sons & I all wanted a little fishing trip but didn’t just want to camp at state parks again. Too crowded, loud etc. found this place and it couldn’t have been anymore perfect!! This place is amazing!! How Richard designed the layout is incredible. Total privacy, clean, quiet, great fishing. All the amenities are as described. I could search the internet for hours and not find a secret gem like this place. 1 million percent what we were looking for. We definitely will be going back & checking out a couple other units we saw.

Richard and his wife were very nice and helpful. Only $25 to rent jon boat with trolling motor and battery. The lake is all weeds. Can not fish any baits that are not weedless. Pretty good fishing though. I found a lot more cabins that were nicer with TV, own bathroom/shower but the cleaning fees were a lot more.

Great getaway

This trip was a much needed break from the hustle and bustle. My wife and I brought our 17 year old for a few nights and loved it. Wi-Fi is hit and miss which made us unplug for the most part and it was a blessing. Richard has put so much thought and detail into bringing a Florida beach vibe to these cabins. Sherry has made sure you have every thing you need to make your experience a good one. They live right on the lake and are very accommodating. One of our best trips ever. We will be back soon!!

Best VRBO ever!

We come every year. Sometimes we think we'll visit the park near Jasonville...but we never leave the cabin and the lake. We spend days without electronics, fishing, kayaking, playing, and never have to leave the property!

Perfect Spot for Family Glamping

We had so much fun at this VRBO. Everything was clean and the owners were very responsive. There was plenty to do to keep us busy for a weekend. It was a great “camping” experience with the convenience of utilities/electric/beds. I was also surprised to find that we were able to get cell phone service. Thanks for sharing your fantastic property with us!

Quiet retreat

Great and quiet location. Love the showers and the rustic site but with cool cabins to sleep comfortably. Really enjoyed the kayaks especially.

Great time

We had a great time visiting and enjoying the lake. It was beautiful and my water bugs children wanted to be in it non stop. Just plug your nose when you go down the pontoon boat slide. Great time!

Quiet location

Very quiet and relaxing. My family and I had a blast! The kayaks and safety vests being included in the stay is a plus! We learned that out six year old was great at kayaking lol Thanks again for the stay, we’d love to visit again!

Peaceful and relaxing

We had a wonderful couple days! The hospitality was great. Our cabin was perfect for us and we had everything we needed! My only wish was that the bank was clear of seaweed so we had more area to fish. But we will be back with our children very soon!

It’s was such a great place to relax! The owners were pleasant and very helpful! We loved it! The girls loved the kayaking and swimming! They even caught several fish! Everything was very convenient with hot showers and cool sleeping with the air conditioner! Definitely recommend!

We offer Kayak, Standup Paddle Boards and a Jon boat to rent. If you have your on kayak or paddle Board you can pay a daily launch fee of $5.00. Rental Fee : Kayaks $20.00 per day or $30.00 for two days, Standup Paddle Boards $20.00 per day or $30.00 for two Days. Jon Boat $25 per day or $40 for two days. We provide Two life jackets for Jon Boat rental Max capacity for Jon Boat is 3 people. We provide one life jacket with your Kayak/Paddle Board rental extra life Jackets are $2.50 per day. Rentals are for on site only. Other Flotation device launch fee is $3.00 per day must wear life jacket at all times. If you have extra day guest there is a $7.50 per guest fee. Your guest can fish and rent Kayaks or Paddle Boards. Shakamak State Park is only 4 miles away and has a public pool and water slides. There is a 100 plus lakes in the area. Wal Mart is 13 miles away. No private boats will be permitted to launch. We will however make parking accommodations if you want to bring your own boat to use at other area lakes. Please give prior notification to host. One vehicle per Campsite all other vehicles must park at the gate.
