The cottage is next to the owner's house, but you have your own terrace. Beautiful surroundings with a very nice cabin, open kitchen and living room with two beds in a bunk bed and a bedroom with a double bed. Beautiful view from the cottage over Lake Storsjön and you can enjoy a dinner out on the balcony. The farm has large areas despite shared plot, so you can find places to be secluded. There is a wide range of both summer and winter activities in the form of mountain hiking, fishing, swimming, hiking trails, bike trails and skiing. Don't miss this gem in Jämtland's forests and mountains. Oviksfjällen 1 hour away, ski tracks and downhill skiing 15 km from the cabin. Only 2 km from the accommodation, you can walk the St. Olavsleden, which is a pilgrimage route between Selånger outside Sundsvall in Sweden and Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim. Regardless of whether you want to take a shorter family trip and experience natural and cultural treasures or go on a day trip along the St. Olavsleden pilgrimage routes, the municipality of Krokom is a perfect starting point. Walking in the walking area in Jämtland County is both relaxing and calming. So pack your picnic and decide which walking area and which hiking trail you want to explore. Take a dip in Storsjön 300 meters from the cottage, there is also a bathing jetty. The mythical Great Lakes Beast is believed to exist in the lake. Storsjön is a lake rich in species and fish. There are close to 20 different species of fish in the lake, the most common of which are trout (called Storsjööring, Jämtland's landscape fish). In Storsjön, rod fishing is free, you do not need a fishing license. Contact the cottage owner if you wish to rent their rowing boat with motor. On Frösön there are shops and restaurants, you can play golf on one of Sweden's most beautiful golf courses with 18 holes, visit composer Wilhelm Peterson-Berger's former home, which is now a museum and a summer cafe. You can also pamper yourself with exercise and a spa experience at Frösö Parkhotell, visit Frösö Church which has a fantastic view of the Storsjö region and the mountain world. Bed linen is not included, a sleeping bag is accepted if the bed is made with an undersheet. Welcome to an experiential relaxation! Good to know: Bring your own bed linen.
