Brackenberry Cottage is a charming 2-bedroom cottage, located in a small row of period cottages, ideally located in the heart of the New Forest National Park. New to VRBO, but already a very successful 5 star rated property on other sites.

Having recently been refurbished to a high standard, the cottage is located within 7 mins walking distance of the village of Lyndhurst's high-street, which has a selection of fantastic restaurants, pubs, shops and cafes. The open forest is also a short distance from the cottage and leads to endless walks, cycle rides and heaps of exploring!

Great cottage in a great location

Lovely cottage in a great location, 5 mins in one direction to Lyndhurst, 5 mins in the other into the forest. The cottage was beautifully decorated and well equipped. Lisa stayed in touch with lots of helpful info and left some great pub recommendations in the info pack!

Beautiful Cottage

Just had the pleasure of staying at this very sweet, beautifully presented well equipped cottage. We found it a great location within a few minutes walk of both the walks at the New Forest and all the shops, tea rooms, bars and restaurants at Lyndhurst, wound definitely stay again and can highly recommend staying here.

A beautiful and charming cottage

Lovely stay at Brackenbury Cottage

We arrived early and Lisa was very accommodating. The cottage was charming, very clean and well equipped. Lisa had left a welcoming pack which was much appreciated and did everything for us to have a very relaxing stay. We highly recommend this cottage.

Fantastic cottage in the perfect location

The cottage is excellent and very well kept. The interior is modern and cosy. The location is great for visiting all the attractions nearby. The only downside is the bathroom being downstairs. But overall I would certainly recommend staying here.

Excellent stay

Lisa's communication was fabulous. The place itself is a lovely cottage, very well equipped for its size, and in a great location for walking into Lyndhurst and accessing all that the New Forrest has to offer. Would recommend.

Lovely cottage

The cottage is conveniently located about a 5 - 10 min walk from Lyndhurst high street. Well equipped, spotlessly clean. A really nice cottage to stay at in a lovely location. Communication from Lisa (the host) was great. Would definitely stay here again when we are next in the New Forest.

Sister’s holiday

The cottage was charming, very cozy, clean and extremely well appointed. We had everything there we could possibly need. We loved the aesthetic and the linens were top notch. It was a lovely home away from home for my sister and myself. Thank you so much Lisa!

Lovely Cottage in Lyndhurst

Brackenberry Cottage is located in the heart of Lyndhurst and provides a perfect location for discovering all the New Forest has to offer. It is clean and comfortable with a lovely garden area to sit in on a sunny day. Lyndhurst itself is a busy town and the location is in a busy area but despite that we really enjoyed our stay and being able to walk to the HIgh St and Bolton's Bench was a bonus.

Perfect base for the New Forest

All the five star reviews for this place are completely merited. It was almost better than being at home. Its a cosy cottage that is smartly done up and has all the mod cons you need. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfy and there were books for the children. It was a tonic to come back to our holiday home after a day out in the sun and rain.

Rundum zufrieden

Das süß eingerichtete gemütliche Haus im New Forest ist für einen Familienaufenthalt bis 4 Personen perfekt geeignet. Besonders toll war die Ausstattung, hier fehlte es an nichts. Kommen gerne in Zukunft wieder.

My family and I live in Lyndhurst and have done so since 2007. We love living in this part of England, and so we thought it would be wonderful for other people to use the cottage and experience the beauty of the surrounding areas.

Set within a row of quaint cottages, all with their own private gardens, with both front and rear access. The location is ideal for the forest and the coast. Lyndhurst is ideal for immediate access to the New Forest with a myriad of walks and cycle rides to explore. There are pubs, shops, restaurants and cafes all within a short walk from the property. Lyndhurst is known as ‘The capital of the New Forest’, and has a wide selection of shops, including a superb Butcher, an Artisan Bakery, a Co-op and Tesco’s Local. Just a few of the popular places to visit in the locality are the attractive village of Beaulieu and its National Motor Museum, Abbey and Palace House, Exbury Gardens, Furzey Gardens and Lepe Country Park with its expansive beach. The well known sailing town of Lymington with access by ferry to the Isle of Wight is close by, as is the lovely village of Brockenhurst. As well as the Forest on your doorstep, a number of spectacular beaches are a short drive away; Avon Beach, Mudeford Quay, Bournemouth, Sandbanks . Popular also with families are the attractions of Paultons Park (Peppa Pig World), The New Forest Wildlife Park, Adventure Wonderland (nr Bournemouth), New Forest Waterpark and Longdown Activity Farm Sandbanks – take your pick. As well as the forest on your doorstep, Southampton, Winchester, Portsmouth and Bournemouth are a short direct drive from Lyndhurst.
