Spacious, modern and well-situated residence - 5mins walk to the beach!

The Hampden is situated in a prime location for visitors to Barbados, Fitts Village, St. James. The supermarket and the beach are just at the end of the road, and local tourist hotspots and bus routes to Bridgetown, Holetown and Speightstown are only a few minutes walk away. The house has a spacious reception area and ocean view balcony with an well stocked and open-plan kitchen and breakfast bar.

The air-conditioned master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and dressing room. It also benefits from a separate access to the rear ocean view balcony and itself has double aspect windows, looking out onto Fitts Village Beach. Bedroom 1 is also air-conditioned and ample sized with good storage. Bedroom 2, is sited at the front of the property so benefits from the cool sea breeze, but also has air conditioning for those warm, stuffy nights. Bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 are served by a shared shower room.

The large open plan reception and dining room has several windows and large French balcony doors which lead on to a full width sea view balcony. The fully equipped kitchen sited to the front of the house is encircled by the breakfast bar. The lounge is extremely comfortable with ample seating and a smart TV and sound system, and the dining area is depicted with a 6-seater glass dining table, big enough for many Bajan feasts!

The house also has its own gated driveway, residential gate and a front porch which benefits from a cool sea breeze once the sun goes down.

Kenridge Park is a very safe neighbourhood and quiet without being too far from civilization! Being the first house on the right, you can see the property on your approach up the hill so its easy to see and find.

~As children we loved the early mornings when you can clearly hear the Whistling frogs and local chickens announcing they're awake and ready for the day. Sit on the balcony and keep the sun company as it rises and you'll see Green monkey families running down our fences on both sides of the property. We always loved watching the small baby monkeys clinging to their mothers, eating any fruit they could get their hands on and escaping their mothers clutches to tease the local cockerels!

We have a full 'Staying at The Hampden' booklet which gives you all the information you need for a comfortable stay. A digital copy will be emailed to you shortly before your arrival.

The property was the perfect location if you are interested in exploring the west coast. Grocery store, bus stops and a beautiful beach at the bottom of the hill. Well stocked kitchen, spacious, clean and lovely balcony.Karen was very helpful and check in/out was flawless. Would recommend this property.

We had a great check-in experience with Karen, the house manager! She made sure we knew what was available to us in the home and we greatly appreciated her hospitality. We had a minor issue with ants, which we altered Karen about and she was very receptive to our feedback. Over all a lovely stay.

Wonderful holiday

Lovely Villa, really enjoyed our stay, loved watching the monkeys from the lovely balcony, although they never came to close, Alex the property manager couldn’t do enough to help, even down to helping us arrange car hire, would definitely recommend staying here, thank you for such a great holiday.

Lovely comfortable property in a good location

Booked here on purpose to be away from the Hustle and Bustle of more tourist areas. Really big comfortable property with all modern facilities. Was lovely sitting on the balcony eating breakfast or watching the sun set. Really friendly and helpful hosts. 2 minutes down thd road to supermarket and local beach, 5 minutes drive to Batts Rock or Paynes Bay beaches or 15 minutes druvevto the busier areas like Holetown if you want. A perfect base for 5 nights on the West coast of Barbados.

Fantastic sea view

The property was even better than we were expecting. Very bright, spacious and clean. The property manager Alex And his wife were excellent at communicating with us and were very helpful. Short walk to the beach and supermarket. We would definitely stay here again. Fantastic view of the sea from the spacious veranda.

Stay at the Hampden Barbados

It was a beautiful villa which provided all amenities, especially important to us since we wanted to make our meals mostly. Alex, property mgr, was very welcoming and urged us to contact him if anything was needed. The ocean view from the back balcony was fantastic, especially while having morning coffee. We also met Karen, Alex’s wife, who was very accommodating. We highly recommend The Hampden and hope to return in the future.

Need for small change

Wonder quiet place to stay. All appliances available and operable. Suggestion: i recommend the use of white towels for guest. The available towels were discolored, which was sort of a turn off. As a frequent traveler, i would rather have white towels to utilize otherwise, i would visit again but would prefer to have white towels for use.

Lovely place to stay

Lovely apartment, with lots of space and a well equipped kitchen - I was very pleased to find lots of pans, and dishes to store leftovers!We found the location very convenient for getting to the places we wanted to go, and having a decent supermarket in walking distance was very welcome.There were a couple of loose towel rails and a shower tap that leaked hot water whilst we stayed - I believe the hosts will sort these out quite quickly.A washing up bowl would be my suggestion - it would use less water for washing up and make it less likely to break dishes in the ceramic sink. The hosts make a charge for breakages at the end of the rental if necessary. We broke 3 items of crockery and were charged 20.

We are a UK-based, brother and sister duo from a close knit family, a lot of whom live in and around Barbados.

Both our Mum and Dad were born in Barbados so we spent many summers at this house. Justin now has 3 young sons and Kelly has 2 young daughters and now we all come to Barbados whenever we can, as does Grandma.

This property belonged to our parents; the land was bought, in honour of us, by our mum and dad when we were born, and the property built and then re-renovated over the last 40 years. As an Architectural Designer, Kelly had a small hand in this! The Hampden is very sentimental to us and the area is our second home.

This is our family home and holds many happy childhood memories for us. Its also grown with us and contained our own family memories too. We hope you enjoy its peace, and its closeness to all you need for a great holiday, as much as we did and continue to do.
