Villa Mar Uno is located in Cala en Bosch, Menorca. This detached

Family holiday in Menorca

I stayed with my extended family, 4 adults and 2 young children, for a week in July. The property is in an excellent location, with just a short walk to beach/shops/water park/marina etc. The property itself had just about everything we needed for the week, some appliances (fridge and oven) didn’t work brilliantly but were fine for 1 weeks stay. We had an issue with a broken tap but this was resolved very quickly. A/C in the bedrooms provided great relief from the July sun. The A/C unit in the living area however, did not work. Only one issue really bothered us and that was the condition of the pool water. Throughout our stay the water got greener each day until the visibility through goggles was virtually zero. It was a real shame as the pool is a great size and was the main reason for picking this property. All other pools around us were clear blue. The pool cleaner attended our pool 5 days out of the 7 we were there to try and resolve the issue but it only got worse each day to the point were we paid to use a pool across the road on the last two days of our holiday. Overall we enjoyed the property and would consider returning, so long at the issues with the pool are resolved.

This was the least well equipped apartment we’ve stayed in. As an apartment advertised for 6 there was only 3 of several items and only 2 tumbler glasses but lots of tiny glasses. After travelling all day and desperate for a long cold drink only 2 people could enjoy that. One of the 3 cereal/fruit bowls was badly chipped. The corkscrew fell apart at first use. There were no barbecue tools, or rack. Although there were instructions to empty garbage everyday there weren’t any replacement bags. Other places have provided at least one or two bags, plus one replacement toilet roll. Here we had to buy everything! The dishwasher didn’t work, no water coming through. Manager did respond quickly to my messages, brought more drinking glasses, corkscrew etc. She also found the mains tap and turned the water on for the dishwasher. No cleaning materials were supplied to allow us to have a general clean mid way through a 10 day stay. Although having new towels was a welcome surprise. Compared to other places we’ve stayed, at comparable cost, it was disappointing. It didn’t feel welcoming on first impression, supplies were basic and we couldn’t even relax to a nice drink on arrival. Last year everywhere had a bag of ice in the freezer, nice touch. And a coffee filter machine not just a tiny stove top percolator, also nice for UK/US visitors. What we did enjoy was the terrace with table and chairs, we ate out there and spent a lot of time sitting reading and relaxing.

We have visited many villas in Menorca, but this villa is one of the best. It is a pleasure to stay somewhere that is so clean and comfortable. Most of our time we spend at the terrace and the pool and enjoyed a nice time there: having meals, playing cards, enjoying gatherings with our local friends, etc. We already visited Ciutadella de Menorca and Cala Galdana and explored the area (local amenities, beaches, shops, and restaurants). Thank you and see you again soon.

We love this villa so much. I do not have enough good words to describe how wonderful it is. The inside is comfortable and here is everything that you could need during your holiday. The children love the pool and terrace and play there almost all day, which in turn gives us a break too! Nearby are a lot of tavernas and restaurants, and we are glad that we visited those nice places with tasty Spanish specialties. We highly recommend this property for your next holiday!

Villa Mar Dos and the area made our holiday memorable! Simple, clean, and cozy. Nice private pool and terrace. There are many excellent beaches nearby and also great restaurants, bars, and a supermarket within a few minutes walk from the villa. We had a great memory of this holiday at Villa Mar Dos and we recommend it without any hesitation.

The villa and surroundings are exactly as seen in the photos and even exceeded the high expectations we had going before arriving there. The villa had everything you would need and more. Nice spacious outside area with a private pool and terrace and a nice dining area with BBQ. We visited Cala Galdana and Cala en Porter. We tried great Spanish specialties:Gazpacho, Croquetas, Pisto, Pulpo a la gallega there. Very satisfied that we booked this villa for our holiday and we will book it again.

First of all, I need to say that the villa is actually even better than in the photos! The inside of the villa was cozy and comfortable. The cleaning staff were excellent and efficient. The pool and the terrace were fabulous. We liked that we can combine our holiday with different activities: from exploring different places and beaches to relaxing days at the villa. Looking forward to booking with this agency for next year.

We had the most amazing time in Villa Mar Dos! The villa had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The outside areas were well maintained and the pool was very clean. As we went out and explored the island and beaches almost every day, the location was perfect as it put us near to everything.

We had the most wonderful holiday ever! The villa was spacious and nicely furnished (and spotlessly clean on arrival). Nice terrace and pool. Loved it. Right across the street, there is a lots of tavernas. Nearby is a wonderfully small and pebbly beach. Great relaxed holiday. We will come back to this quiet location.
