Our house is located in a quiet region on Megalochori village with magnificent village view. The house has 2 bedrooms, both with A/C.One of the bedrooms is a cave room with limited storage space and has a separate entrance attached with the yard.It had a living room, satellite TV, Wi-Fi,dining room,fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, espresso machine, filter coffee machine, kettle and all necessary kitchen utensils, Also it has 2 bathrooms with hair dryer and a washing machine. From the sunny terrace you enjoy great views of our village, the mountain and the nearby White church of Megalochori.
A domestic and stylish atmosphere combined with exceptionally personalized service that offers guests an intimate glimpse of everyday life on Santorini, without sacrificing comfort or privacy. The property was lovely. Very clean and spacious. Great costumer service! The only complaint we would have was the second bedroom was very small and you had to go outside to use the 2nd bathroom.

The hosts were amazing in making our visit spectacular! Eugenia gave us all the tips on what to see on the island! Konstantinos even provided us with a grill, allowing us to enjoy some BBQ evenings on the premises! I would highly recommend a visit with them! The house was wonderful and felt like home! Air-conditioning was highly appreciated!Thank you very much!

The apartment was delightful and well appointed if a little quirky. We loved staying in the small village of Megalochori instead of busy and commercial Fira. Our host Eugenia was incredibly helpful, arranging transport from the ferry and helping us plan our stay with excellent suggestions and help booking.

Eugenia was an incredible host, she took the time to familiarize us with the property, had many suggestions of fun things to do during our stay, and was very quick to answer any questions we had! The property was beautiful, in a great location in a smaller village. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend this listing.

Our Greek Adventure

Gorgeous friendly informative situated in the best traditional village Megalochori. Spoilt for choice of great traditional cafes. The home was immaculately clean and Eugenia just the loveliest person who helped us out on many levels.

Nice traditional house , the pics are accurate. Clean place in a cute village with nice restaurants. Central location, a car is needed. Plenty to do on the island within 15-20 min drive. The host Eugenia was lovely and super responsive. She took a lot of pride in the house and the island.

Sweet Cozy Typical Greek house

We loved our stay in a typic Greece House. Communication with Evgenia was WONDERFUL, she gived us a lot of tips and was available all the time. Our children liked very much the cave bedroom which was not attached to the main house and the second bathroom was very useful 😊😊😊.

Charming and delightful!

Beautiful home in Megalochori, an "old town" area with a very Greek feel. The place is wonderful, charming, and safe. Has all the amenities and more! Great spots for dunking coffee or wine. Eugenia/host-manager was delightful, personable and at our service! She had great recommendations. Highly recommend this place. Closevto bakery, mini mart, local restaurants, and bus! We had a great time!!

Just wonderful!

We had the best time in Santorini and loved Megalochori and the beautiful house. Such a charming picturesque little village away from the cruise ship crowds but still you have everything you need in walking distance. Eugenia is the most wonderful host and gave us great advice on the most spectacular sites. We never got tired of watching the sunset from different locations. The house has all you need, from the airy outside area to beautiful interior, a well equipped kitchen and a very comfy bed. Thank you again Eugenia for making our time in Santorini very special!

Authentic quaint village /modernized stone house

We would score our stay at 10 stars out of five if that were possible. Eugenia handled our bookings and transfers, and suggested restaurants, an itinerary based on updated weather reports and she showed us how to get around by bus. The house itself has two lovely outdoor courtyards. There’s a large master bedroom with a huge beautiful bathroom. There is a cosy cave bedroom with a rustic cave bathroom up some stairs. So fun. I love the pretty village and church views. Plenty of restaurants. Heaven.

A Santorini Gem: Perfect Family Retreat with Great Hosts!

Our Santorini family vacation was simply magical, all thanks to this VRBO gem! Perfectly located just minutes away from a charming bakery and the bus stop, getting around the island was a breeze. Eugenia and Konstantinos, the hosts, were exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure we had a splendid time. The house itself was a delight, with a master bedroom featuring an en-suite bathroom and a fun 'cave' bedroom across the courtyard. A well-appointed kitchen, washing machine, and outdoor seating areas added to the comfort. With air-conditioning, smart TV, and strong WiFi, we had everything we needed. Highly recommended for an unforgettable Santorini experience!

Magical Experience

We feel so fortunate to have discovered the beauty and serenity of Megalochori, and to have had the opportunity to live, if only for one week in this magical home and village. From our earliest communications to our final goodbyes, Eugenia and Konstantinos were gracious, attentive and helpful, offering directions and recommendations on how to make the most of our time. The apartment is completely detailed, and the bougainvillea covered terrace was our perfect oasis for morning coffee and evening relaxation. We slept exceptionally well on the fine bed. We can’t thank you enough for this memorable experience.

Nice house in a nice location

Constantino was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The town was wonderful. Much more quiet and quaint than Fira or Oia. There was a nice taverna close by for breakfast in the morning or a night cap at the end of the day. The house was clean and the perfect size for our group of 4. There is one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and another bedroom detached from the house with a bathroom up the stairs. Not a knock on it as it didn't effect us, but people should be aware that parking is a bit of a walk away and like on most Greek islands there are plenty of stair. If you're physically impaired, it's something to consider. Overall I would definitely recommend and would return to this property.

Great home in charming Megalochori

We had a wonderful stay in this village of Megalochori in Santorini. Less crowded than other areas and the home was very cool. Big enough for our family of 5 with two bedrooms - the second being in a "cave" next to main building. The property also had two outside seating areas, including one on a balcony under a pergola. I can't say enough about lovely Eugenia. She was beyond helpful and friendly. She met us at check in and spent time to give us an overview of home and area and offered suggestions for things to do. She continued to answer our questions over What's App during our stay and helped book a driver for a tour on our last day. She helped make our stay in Santorini even more special.

Great accommodation, great location!

I can only echo previous glowing reviews... This was a perfect base for our first visit to Santorini and Eugenia was a very helpful and responsive host, from arranging to meet us to check in, to responding to a couple of small queries, to offering suggestions. We were 4 adults and there was ample space indoors and out. We had unseasonably warm weather for early April so could make full use of the upper terrace or lower patio (loved being up on the terrace with rooftop views in all directions). Well-equipped kitchen. We were off-season so always found a car-parking space in the closest village car park. Close to a supermarket and excellent bakery (with warm dishes and ice creams too). Also handy to be just off the main road/bus route for being picked up for a boat tour, but we appreciated being away from the main tourist centres.

A Jewel in the heart of Megalochori

This 2 bdrm apartment was exactly what we needed for a 3 day stay in Santorini. Eugenia is an amazing host... gave us lots of tips to get us started on exploring the island. Since we were 3 individual friends traveling together we needed to use the pull out sofa in the livingroom. My only suggestion would be replacing it as it is very old and not so comfortable. But, I put the mattress on the floor and did fine for 3 nights. Other than that this property and its host are a 10/10

Beautiful property in a lovely village

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for this beautiful property and our exceptionally friendly and helpful host, Eugenia. The property is in a delightful small village with some fine restaurants and shops as well as a cultural and performance center. The property has a very comfortable interior with all the amenities we needed. Outside are two very inviting sitting areas. Close by are a small market and a bustop to Fira and the local beaches. You can walk to the nearby village of Pyrgos. We did not want to leave. I must also praise Eugenia who gave us a warm welcome at the property and provided excellent suggestions as to what to do in Santorini. She was always reachable for questions as well as resolving a mishap of my own creation. She could not have been more friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy home, stunning rooftop view, and exemplary host

Our stay in Megalachori far exceeded any expectations. Eugenia was always in communication with us, meeting us at the town's entrance to escort us to the villa and responding promptly to any texts. She helped us arrange taxis and a wonderful wine tour. She was ever-so-attentive to details, questions, and our requests, and was so very kind. We certainly appreciated the travel suggestions that helped us navigate the island of Santorini. For example, the recommendation to quickly visit the 'Instagram Santorini' (Fira and Oia) but spend more time in the south part of Santorini. We spent maybe 4 hours in Oia and headed straight back to Megalachori for the sunset (highly recommend!). A short walk west is a scenic overlook of the Caldera and a little hike down a path leads to a hole in a rock (The Heart of Santorini) and a quaint church. BEAUTIFUL sunset. The home is very unique, with a separate 'cave' bedroom. The main home has a complete kitchen, eating area, sitting space, and another bedroom with bathroom. There were four of us traveling together and this was just perfect. Personally, the rooftop was my favorite place to be. The exquisite Bourgunvillea tree was in full bloom- just incredible! At night, the nearby cathedral was illuminated and soft music from the nearby restaurant could be heard. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this VRBO location! The cozy home, stunning rooftop view, and exemplary host will be forever imprinted in your mind and memories of Santorini.

The Bougainvillea House on Santorini…

Wow! That’s the first word that comes to my mind when I think about the fantastic accommodation we had on our recent trip to Santorini! We deliberately try to avoid the heavily travelled tourist areas whenever we travel, and we hit the spot this time! The Bougainvillea House located in Megalochori, represents beautiful, tradition Greek style accommodation. The house has a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a totally separate ‘cave’ bedroom across the courtyard, which is great fun! There is also a living/dining area and a well-appointed kitchen with everything we needed for our stay. The house also has a washing machine which was VERY much appreciated and a drying line to dry clothes in the bright Santorini sunshine. Of course, there is air-conditioning in the master bedroom and the main living area as well as a smart TV with Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube etc… Additionally, we good strong, speedy WiFi throughout. I have deliberately left the most incredible feature of the house to last: the Bougainvillea tree located on the upper sun deck after which the house is named. Wow again! The tree was in full bloom while we were there and the upper deck has comfortable furniture under a covered pagoda with the ancient bougainvillea tree adorning it and a sizeable uncovered area for relatively private sunbathing. Eugenia and Konstantinos were wonderful: our trip would not have been as awesome without the pleasure of meeting both of these incredible people.
