We had a wonderful stay. Sue and Steve are outstanding hosts. They are making you feel at home. It’s a great place to stay. The pool and garden are beautiful and well maintained.

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful, always available, and just genuinely nice people. The pool was a major highlight, and the entire property is absolutely beautiful. The amenities are excellent, including a very well-equipped kitchen, mosquito nets, and air conditioning. We also loved the fantastic garden. Big thanks to Sue and Steve!

Lovely stay in characterful cottage. Very well equipped. Gardens /outside area and pool beautiful. Sue and Steve really helpful. Nice walk into Perpignan city around 30 mins. Loved Perpignan. Great location on outskirts so quieter. Loved it, would recommend and we may return. Thanks Sue and Steve for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.

Wish We'd Stayed Longer

Lovely and helpful hosts. Cosy cottage style propertty with well equipped kitchen. Pool area is beautiful and so clean - we loved using it and relaxing on the sun loungers. Plenty to do in the area aswell.

Private, yet convenient to everything

We really enjoyed our stay at this thoughtfully put together traditional gite with BBQ, pool and parking. This location is for those familiar with France, independent, and able to enjoy all of the area, coming home to s beautiful pool.

Unique property very convenient to Perpignan

We had a beautiful relaxing time, loads to see and do in the local area catering for everyone’s taste, from castles, beaches and local restaurants. Sue and Steve are fantastic hosts and everything has been thought of, the icing on the cake is their amazing pool 😊

Wonderfull

Steve and Sue are too kind, they are always ready to give tips for trips and restaurants. The house had everything we needed and the property is clean, the pool wonderful!A lot of toys for our 2year old en toys for the pool are available. Great quiet and perfect place to explore the area.

A beautiful location and lovely hosts

Our family had a lovely stay in August 2022. The property had all we wanted, a stylish and clean Gite, the pool was fantastic and the hosts - Sue and Steve, couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly! We have re-booked for next year.

A perfect week in Perpignan

This is an amazing property, thoughtfully curated to give one the experience of an idyllic week in the beautiful French countryside close to the city of Perpingnan. The location is ideal for touring the interesting points of interest in the region or relaxing at the beach although it was a bit windy when we were there. The hosts have gone out of their way to create a comfortable relaxing environment it is truly a special experience to stay in one of their beautiful guest houses.

Paradise in Perpignan

We had a great stay. Very centrally located in the region with easy access to the beaches and mountains and at close (cycling) distance to Perpignan centre. A clean house, a supurb BBQ place and an extraordinary pool. And last, but definitely not least, the great and friendly hosts Sue and Steve. Would love to come back some day.

Great family property with excellent facilities

Beautiful well renovated mas with converted barn and cottage with excellent facilities garden and pool but would be more comfortable with air conditioning as very difficult to sleep at night during our stay as temperature still 28 degrees at midnight and would have appreciated a few more kitchen basics on arrival. However very friendly and welcoming owners.

We live here ourselves without air conditioning but it is necessary to observe the french way of keeping doors and shutters closed during the day to keep the heat out , difficult for most english people as we usually do the opposite ! But ceiling fans are fitted and stand fans provided in all rooms. We feel that to provide more 'basics' could be problematic due to diets, allergies, gluten intolerance, and of course for vegetarians, also some people may prefer decaffeinated coffee , so rather a minefield of knowing what would be required. The idea is we provide self catering accommodation , however we would always be open to suggestions for improvement.

Wonderful Hospitality

We loved staying at Mas Cerise. The property was lovely and Sue and Steve were wonderful hosts. The care and love they put into their property is evident. We ate at their favorite restaurant in town which was only about 12 minutes away by car. While the pool was a tad too cool for a lengthy swim, the setting was beautiful. We felt fortunate to find this gem ~ far enough from town to be peaceful and quiet and close enough to get to easily get to town or the beautiful beach.

Idyllic

Charming property in an idyllic setting. The grounds and pool are lovely. We were happy to chill by the pool and BBQ in the evenings. On other days we went to the beautiful beaches or into the Pyrenees to find cooler lakes. You need a car for the beach. Perpignan is a great place to explore too as is the region. Steve and Sue are amazing hosts - we took on board all of their sightseeing tips and had some wonderful days. We’ll be going back for more.

Absolutely marvelous - & the pool is exceptional (10 stars!)

The place is situated about 20 min walk (5 min drive) from the city center of Perpignan. The gite is well equipped and clean, and the shared pool (only with one other gite) is exceptional - it is big, lightly salted, the temperature is nice, and there is plenty of space around it and sufficient places to sit or lie in the shade beside it. The car can be parked within the compound which is locked - and feels very safe and not locked in. And the owners who live on site - Sue and Steve - are absolutely lovely people who are very helpful and welcoming. We'd love to come back!!!

Had a fantastic stay at the Stables, the courtyard with our own outside cooking area was great snd beautifully cared for by Steve and Sue (hosts). Without a doubt though the crowning glory is the pool, it truly was the cleanest, loviest pool we’ve ever used. Steve and Sue we’re available if needed for advice about anything but also very discreet and allowed privacy. We had a lovely holiday and feel like we made good friends with Sue and Steve. Will definitely stay there again if in that area and would recommend to anyone- you will not be disappointed.

Fabulous relaxing short break in Perpignan.

This was our first visit to Perpignan, and we were looking for somewhere to relax, unwind and de-stress. From the first contact Sue & Steve were amazing and helpful in planning our stay. The property is close enough to local shops, and a pleasant walk into Perpignan itself, although we only went once, as the property itself was so incredible. We were welcomed personally by Sue & Steve, who showed us around and we were instantly impressed. The property was impeccably clean and tidy, the garden with it's Lemon, Orange and other trees well kept, and the large pool was a great way to cool down from the warmth of the sun. All in all the stay was perfect for what we were looking for. We had a fabulous week and would love to return. Highly recommended!

Perfect Family Getaway Near Perpignan

We had a fantastic family holiday at a lovely gite just outside Perpignan. Traveling with our 9-year-old and 10-month-old baby, we were warmly welcomed by the owners, Sue and Steve. From the moment we arrived, their hospitality made us feel right at home. The property itself exceeded our expectations. Our private apartment was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, showing great attention to detail. The outdoor saltwater pool was a highlight, offering a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Sue and Steve were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They were always available for a chat or to offer advice on local attractions and activities. Their genuine warmth and daily interactions made our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this gite for a peaceful and delightful stay near Perpignan.

Exactly as it was described in the blurb

Sue and Steve were very welcoming and friendly hosts, who respected our privacy too. The accommodation was extremely comfortable. We stayed in Le Cerisier and it was perfect for the two of us. Sue and Steve have considered everything that is required for a comfortable holiday experience. We wanted a relaxing holiday doing very little and that's what we achieved. We were car free, so walked in and out of Perpignan when we could tear ourselves away from the sun loungers. It's an easy walk. We used public transport and explored both coast and mountains - all very accessible, convenient and inexpensive. We were very spoiled as we were the only people staying at the Mas at the time, so had the pool area all to ourselves. However, there is plenty of space for all if there are people staying in the other accommodation. We had a peak into The Barn, which is beautifully presented. If we can gather the family together in one place, then we would consider booking the two cottages.

Ein rundum schöner Aufenthalt! Man ist weg von der Stadt, gleichzeitig sehr schnell im Zentrum! Wunderbare Gastgeber! Obwohl gleichzeitig andere Gäste auf dem Gelände waren, ist man quasi für sich! Der Pool ist eine herrliche Erfrischung nach einem Tag „sightseeing“.

Familienurlaub mit Kindern

Wir hatten schöne Tage bei Sue und Steve, alles tip top sauber, Zimmer, Pool, Garten in einwandfreiem Zustand, tolle Gastgeber und bestes Wetter. Der nächste Sommer ist schon gebucht, wir kommen wieder.

Superbe gîte à Perpignan

Le gîte est très agréable notamment la partie extérieure avec une superbe piscine et une très belle cour intérieure parfaitement entretenue. Nous avons loué la petite maison située au fond de la cour, très propre, joliment décoré et bien équipé. Idéal pour une famille de 4 (attention à l'escalier en colimaçon assez raide pour de très jeunes enfants). La route est assez proche et s'entend un peu la nuit avec les fenêtres ouvertes. Le gîte est bien situé à 15 min des premières plages, 30 min de Collioure et des villages des Pyrénées situées dans les terres. Nous recommandons sans hésitation.

A perfect stay

We stayed at Le Cerisier for two weeks, which is perfect for a family of four. The apartment is well equipped, the area with garden and pool wonderful. Mas Mimosa is situated in the rural outskirts of Perpignan which makes it a brilliant starting point for days at the beach, in the city or in the mountains. What Mas Mimosa makes unique are the owners: Sue and Steve are kind, open minded, young at heart and supportive in all areas: fulfilling extra wishes, sharing tomatoes from their garden, keeping the kids entertained and providing tipps for great holidays.
