This cottage was the cutest, most comfortable place we stayed! We felt truly at home, as the place was stocked with whatever we needed. The rooms were decorated nicely and the towels were top notch! The rural setting was lovely and we enjoyed the sheep, the pheasants and the rolling hills. Highly recommend.

Ivy Cottage

Had a wonderful stay! Our first time in Scotland and the location gave us options to lots of different places to see and experience. The cottage itself was very nice with multiple amenities and plenty of room.

Lovely house in a beautiful location with easy access to Pitlochry and beyond. The living area is upstairs and as well as being spacious with plenty of seating, has lovely views. The kitchen is excellent and very well stocked as is the utility room. The only feedback would be that the downstairs bedroom mattress is uncomfortable and needs replacing soon. Also, the cushions in the sofas upstairs need refilling. Highly recommended and would use again.

We stayed here whist working on the Etape cycle event

Perfect space for us and would be equally as good for a family stay.The welcome pack is a lovely touch too. highly recommend.

Out in the countryside -- beautiful drives to and from our sightseeing destinations each day. The house itself was a perfect combination of all the attractive features we had in 3 other stays prior to this one. It's like they knew what we enjoyed in each house and put it into our stay in Balnaguard.

Lovely Cottage

Ivy Cottage was a lovely, clean and well-appointed cottage. It was conveniently located to Pitlochry and the A9. We used it as a base for a series of family day trips to see the sights. The cottage served us well and the check in/check out was easy. This is a great place to stay and we will certainly enjoy it again in the future.

Great location, very quiet and picturesque. Cottage was clean,warm, spacious and the layout was fantastic. Could not fault it. There was everything we needed and more. Bed's are comfortable and bedding excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are considering returning soon. Would definitely recommend.

Home from Home, spacious and relaxing!

Fabulous long weekend in this amazing home and garden. Beautiful views and very well appointed. Really did feel like it was a second home in Perthshire. Host made us feel very welcome and was very attentive to our needs. Would absolutely come again.

Wonderful visit.

This truly is a hidden gem. Absolutely stunning location, so peaceful. The cottage has so much room, there were 6 of us yet did not feel on top on one another having the kitchen diner plus snug and upstairs living room. Rooms are spacious and the decor is beautiful. They have literally thought of everything. True home from home. Would love to go back.

Enjoyed a 4 night break at Ivy cottage, loved the layout. Extremely well stocked with cleaning & washing products. Great space to enjoy the area in & i would definitely stay here again if i was to visit the area. Margaret was very kind in allowing us to leave a number of cases & personal items at the cottage after we checked out, to be collected later on. Lots of birds in & around the garden & wildlife in the general are

Ivy Cottage is beautiful inside and out. The bedrooms and kitchen were spacious, as were the bathrooms. It was very handy to have a washer and dryer. The kitchen area was well equipped with cooking utensils.The views were stunning! There were cute little chaffinches that kept flying around the window. It was wonderful to hear them singing in the bushes.The location for the cottage was perfect as a base for exploring the areas around Pitlochry, Stirling, Loch Lomand, Inverness and Fort William. Aberfeldy is nearby, and has a grocery and several nice shops. Margaret responded quickly to any enquiries. She also had a booklet that contained pictures and information about the cottage's history, important contact numbers, and other useful information. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We felt at home in this lovely cottage. The atmosphere was welcoming and cosy. All we needed or we could think of was there. The kitchen and laundry room are very well equipped. We also enjoyed the garden with lots of birds to watch. The house is perfect for a large family of 6 with a big kitchen table and a sunlit family room upstairs. There were enough bathrooms too. A kitchen highlight was the american refrigerator with ice maker.

This house is an absolute gem and I will definitely book again, when in the area. If you are considering this house, don’t hesitate you will enjoy the quiet location, off street parking, and the views.The house itself is decorated nicely, the underfloor heating is fabulous, the large kitchen is very well stocked and we enjoyed sitting at the farmhouse table, watching the wildlife outside the patio doors. The snug was very useful for my Mum, who can no longer manage stairs (large living room upstairs ) and she enjoyed her bedroom and en suite on the ground floor. All the beds were very comfortable and again, decorated simply but nicely. Thank you for the hair dryers in every room!It’s a short drive to Pitlochry and many other local sites. Approx 2 miles away is the village of Grandtully, where we had a lovely dinner at the Grandtully Hotel by Ballintaggart. We also visited the Highland Chocolatier for a morning treat of hot chocolates etc.Overall, one of my top five stays and I’ve stayed in many rental properties over the years. it just felt like home.Thank you to Margaret (owner) for her detailed communication prior to our stay.
