Rustic log home, located just south of Afton, is the perfect get away for your entire family! One price rents the entire home that will sleep up to 11 people. This log cabin home is conveniently located near Highway 89 in beautiful Star Valley Wyoming. You will be within a mile of downtown Afton, forest access, Afton's Johnny Miller golf course, and the Star Valley Wyoming LDS Temple. Whether you are planning a trip for horse back riding, fishing, hiking, skiing, or snowmobiling, our cabin is a perfect match. We are located on several acres with private parking suited for your ATV or horse trailers. We even have a pasture for your horse!

Karen, the host and property owner, was great and very accommodating to us and our group. She handled an inconvenience we had very professionally and made our stay much more relaxing. We were in Afton for a snowmobile trip and this place is a great place to stay for a group of snowmobilers. There’s tons of space for trailers and plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone.

Everything about this experience was great!The house was clean and spacious, easy to find and in a great spot. Karen was amazing to deal with and left us homemade bread and jelly, which we really appreciated.The town of Afton is also one of the friendliest we’ve visited.Highly recommend!

Wonderful home, great location

Wonderful Christmas cabin stay! Hosts made the place so nice and cozy we had a great family vacation even though there wasn't enough snow this year to ski yet at Pine Creek. Highly recommend cabin in a beautiful area.

Plenty of space, Beautiful views!

The property was clean with plenty of space. The bedrooms were comfortable and the yard was lovely. The views across the valley were beautiful!

Short stay in Afton

This property was wonderful. Very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and the owner left us homemade bread and jam. The bed we used was very comfortable and the yard was lovely. We lived sitting out on the back deck. It is clear that the owners of this property give their all to their business.

Perfect location

Another great stay

Karen's cabin is a go to for our family. We love to visit the area and stay here any chance we get. The beds are comfortable, the house is always clean, and there is space to spread out, have fun, and make it a great base camp for our adventures in the area. We look forward to returning soon!

Fantastic Place

We were in town for a job down at Simplot. The accommodations were wonderful and we would pick this over a hotel stay any time. Thanks so much for making our stay so wonderful!

Ideal location for group snowmobile stay in Afton

Our group has stayed at the Johnson cabin many times. It’s ideal for a group of 6-8 or more if spouses join. We snowmobile in the area and the cabin is perfect for us, close to fuel, restaurants and other stores and not too far from the riding area in Smoot. We will definitely be back again.

Great stay in Afton

Lovely house. Nice location. Exceptional host. Cookware needs updated. No sharp knives. Upstairs was too hot. Otherwise, wonderful stay.

Enjoyed our time in Star Valley

This was a great family and dog friendly house. Very clean and homey, with lots to do for our kids and comfortable (mostly) bedding and family and game rooms for us when we returned from our adventures. Karen was kind and responsive and had some yummy homemade bread waiting for us when we got here.

Family trip

The cabin was wonderful, just as advertised. The host was helpful with anything we needed. It’s easy to find and get to with ample parking. The kids loved the big room upstairs and the basement. We will likely stay there again.

Family reunion

What a beautiful home! I can see why they have 10/10 reviews. The place was very clean and extremely easy to access with it being right by the highway. It is surrounded by big beautiful trees so you won’t hear the highway at all. The home was well stocked with all the kitchen and bathroom needs. The decor was so welcoming and cute that we instantly felt at home. Karen was very kind and responded right away. We look forward to returning again as soon as we can. Thank you, Karen, for sharing your home with us.

I am a 5th generation Star Valley native. Although I've lived elsewhere at times, you can't take the country out of a country girl! I just love the area, the lifestyle, and the people. I've always enjoyed gardening, working with the animals, and spending time with friends and family.

I love the small town/country life style, the proximity of National Forests, and the changing seasons.There is much to offer in our little valley and it is close to the Tetons, Jackson Hole, and Yellowstone National Park. Not to mention the fresh air and blue skies!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This home has easy access from Highway 89 and ample parking large enough for trailers. We can even provide a field for your horses! We are located within a couple of miles of Swift Creek Canyon which is well known for the largest intermittent springs in the world. To the south a mile is the public entrance to Dry Creek Canyon and the national forest with trails for hiking, mountain biking, or horse riding. To the west is Salt River and great fishing.
