The Piggery - stylish barn conversion in the heart of the High Peak
Aptly named, The Piggery is a stylish barn conversion located at tranquil Vicarage Farm in the heart of the High Peak. The largest of a family of cottages, The Piggery is great for gatherings and catching up with loved ones, with a large social format.
The Piggery is suitable for sleeping up to eight people in three comfortable bedrooms. There is a generous living area with a wood burning stove in the fireplace, providing a cosy gathering point during winter months. The large family kitchen is fully equipped and has a dining area suitable for hosting up to 13 for dinner (useful for when booking The Piggery with other cottages on site). There is a downstairs shower room and upstairs is a second family bathroom. The neatly plastered walls are contrasted by the beautiful original wooden beams and doors, a theme featured throughout the rooms.
PROPERTY LAYOUT Ground floor: Entrance with boot room, storage and hanging. Well equipped open plan dining kitchen. The large dining area with five dining chairs + L shape benching to seat a further eight (up to 13 can be seated for group bookings). Drinks station within immediate proximity to the dining area. Spacious sitting room with a wood-burning stove, large TV and comfy seating - two sofas, two armchairs and daybed (up to 11 can be seated for group bookings). Bathroom with WC, vanity & large shower. First floor: Bedroom 1: Double bedroom with a double bed, storage and hanging space. Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom with two single beds. Bedroom 3: Family bedroom with king-size bed and single bed. Bathroom with WC, vanity & shower over bath.

SHARED FACILITIES: All-weather Tennis Court: The all-weather tennis court is free to use for guests, subject to availability. Purpose Built Gazebo: The outdoor timber gazebo has a barbecue and open log fire. There is an dining table and chairs under the gazebo and further comfortable seating on the shared terrace, all great for al fresco meals. Children's Play Area: Children's climbing frame, slide and swings. Laundry facilities: In the ground floor entrance to The Hay Loft (middle barn) - there is a charge for using them.
HOUSE RULES: Smoking is not allowed inside the property or in the communal areas Sorry, no pets Not suitable for stag parties or hen parties A £100 security deposit is required and released within a week should there be no claims against it Minimum stay 2 nights all year except at Christmas and New Year which is a minimum stay of 3 nights We do ask that, in consideration of other guests, noise is kept to a minimum between the hours of 11pm and 7am Check-in at 3pm check-out 10am. There may be occasions where an earlier check-in could be possible, please request in advance to check both availability and any supplement payable.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: Welcome pack contains: Milk, butter, bread, teabags, sugar, a few coffee pods, eggs, a box of shortbread biscuits. There’s hand soap, washing up liquid, clothes tea towels, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, cling film and tin foil. Bedding, towels and toilet roll. If you would like to book all cottages together, please contact us * Covid-19 measures for this property: In full compliance with the hospitality industry cleaning protocols and safety guidance. Intensively cleaned and sanitised. Contact-free check in and check out. Complete privacy and exclusive use of the cottage during your holiday. Date changes for all existing and new bookings if the lockdown measures are extended or re-imposed. *Internet access is offered at this property for recreational purposes only and is not meant for business use. Speed/service may vary depending on the package obtained by the owner which is provided to guests free of charge. Fantastic property with plenty of space for everyone. Very well kept and maintained. Ideal location for visiting the surrounding areas. Lovely little village very close that has everything that you may need.Communication with property owners was fantastic and quick too.
