Blissful weekend

What a beautiful glamping hut. Kids loved the secret bunk bed room, beds super comfy, plenty of utensils and cooking equipment. Great location just a walk into Beadnell, gorgeous views of the sunrise and sunset over the sea. Communication excellent, hot tub a huge hit. Can’t wait to visit again, a wonderful stay.

A fantastic place to stay

We had the most wonderful stay here. We travelled with our two children and the dog. The cabin has everything you could need for a relaxing break away and the host had even left us a couple of pumpkins to carve which the children adored. Th hot tub was a great addition and we made sure to make use of it, even in the very windy weather we had! So pleased we came back and can’t wait to stay again another time

We had a lovely stay, but could be improved on, the weather was very windy and we had bad drafts from ill fitting main door also the bed should be improved on the height to get in was extremely uncomfortable, no clothes hanging space.

Lovely stay

Had a very nice short stay at the Sandpiper lots of useful info provided and the hut has everything you might need. Lovely touches with all the dog stuff. Some parts looked a little tired but the views certainly made up for any little niggles.

The Shepherds Hut was a big Hit

We wish we had booked more than 2 nights!! It was an absolutely fantastic short break! Excellent accommodation, great outdoor space and the wood fired hot tub was good fun. Lovely to find a bottle of Prosecco and yummy chocolate- made locally , waiting for us. The bed was very comfortable. We hope to return in 2027

Amazing shepherds hut

Stayed here numerous times and always fantastic. Short 15 mins stroll to beadnell centre and beach . Perfect for a relaxing break . Great facilities incl hot tub . Comfy bed with star gazing roof ! Love it and booked to go back already!

A fabulous property, very well thought out to make a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It is set back from a main road, but you don’t really notice the occasional passing cars. Lovely large bed, lovely shower, well equipped kitchen. The hot tub was amazing, heated up quickly and stayed warm (even next day). Good quality linen and towels, etc. Plenty of wood, charcoal, etc. Very close to Beadnell and Seahouses. I would bring a multi plug if you want to charge two phones (only really one socket).

Wedding Anniversary

As always a fantastic stay in the sandpiper shepherds hut. We’ve stayed in all the property’s at the site and love the location and all the facilities, especially the hot tubs. Sam and the team do a fantastic job in providing everything you could need and always go the extra mile with welcome gifts to ensure with have a lovely warm welcome, we will be back again for sure.

Lovely, relaxing stay. Perfect with our dog.

We enjoyed our stay. Short 15 minute walk into nearby Beadnell. Lovely views across the coast to Dunstanburgh Castle. Hut clean and well equipped. The only thing we would have appreciated that wasn’t there was a freezer box in the fridge. We had some hot days and the ability to make ice cubes would have been helpful. Enjoyed the wood fuelled hot tub. Our big dog had secure outdoor space to enjoy and there were lots of dog friendly touches. Lovely base to stay to explore the stunning Northumberland coast.

We adore this stunning getaway !!!

Second stay at the Sandpiper. We love the hut. we reset, chill out and switch off from the world. Best 5 nights sleep I have had since we last stayed. The location is fantastic, the views are stunning from the hut, super close to beautiful beaches and great pubs, chippys and farm coffee shops. Sam the owner is super helpful and friendly, and the hut has everything you need even for your dog. We cant wait to come back . Thank you x

Amazing stay

We booked both shepherds huts as there was 4 of us plus a dog. Both huts had everything that we needed and the hosts had thought of everything. The beds were so comfortable the hot tub was amazing and easy to use. Fantastic location could not recommend enough

Another great stay

We've been coming to the sandpiper now for quite a few years.Its a fab location and we love the facilities it offers, we especially love the hot tub and the garden for the dogs. We use it as a base to explore the great beaches along the coast and the fab towns nearby. We'll be back...again!!

A small slice of heaven

Wow! We were impressed the moment we opened the gate into the garden. The hot tub, fire pit, and stunning scenery made it instantly feel special — it was absolutely beautiful. The hut didn’t disappoint inside either. It was so cosy and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy, and the glass above it made the nights feel truly magical. The location itself is breathtaking, and a five‑minute drive takes you to Beadnell Bay — don’t miss the beach, it really is stunning. It was exactly the rest we needed after a difficult few months. The surroundings gave us the chance to completely unwind, switch off, and relax. We can’t wait to book again. Thank you so much.

Great stay

Cosy cabin in a secluded area making it perfect for stargazing. The hot tub is great to jump into and take in the views. We’re looking to visit at least yearly. We had a great time.

Excellent

Stayed here numerous times and always fab! So close to beadnell and beach for the dog . Hut is always clean and well equipped . There have been some improvements since our last stay - bedside tables , full length mirror and new cooker which was great . Love coming here and will be back again soon . Great value for money ! Thanks for the fizz , chocolates and yummy dog biscuits

Weekend Stay at The Sandpiper in late January!!

We had a really enjoyable stay at the Sandpiper. I have previously stayed at the Sanderling. Both provide amazing glamping experiences. The Sanderling has a extra room to accomodate kids which we did nt use and used as a dressing room. The huts are super clean and comfortable. As always Sam and the team are really helpful with any queries. The log fire warms up the hut really well and the hot tun experience is brilliant - in winter time, if you get a clear night its great to hot tub at night and look up at the stars!! There are cooking facilities inside the hut and the shower is great. Lots of hot water. The bed is super comfy. Its a 10 minute walk into Beadnell village and we enjoyed food at The Craster's Arms which is a really friendly pub with great food and atmosphere. I have stayed at the Sheperdess Huts several times now and I will definitely be back again! Thanks so much for a fabulous time.

Magical christmas

We had a lovely stay in the sandpiper incl. the sweetest little details as a little Christmas tree, welcome gift and even treats for our furry friends. Everything you could have needed was provided, we were able to cook lovely meals in the small space. Well located for long walks at the beach too! Thanks!

Perfect stay

Thanks to Sam and the team for making our anniversary break so special. Loved the personalised banner, dog treats and the bottle of fizz! Lovely cosy little hut and hot tub. Would definitely recommend. Communication with Sam and the team was easy and professional, nothing was a bother to them. Thanks guys

Cosy

We had a lovely cosy stay. The location is great, the morning views were fab. We had terrible weather but we made the most of our little cosy get away in the hut. The host replied quickly to questions. It is also completely secure, we had no issues letting our dog in and out of the hut freely and she loved zooming around the garden. We had lovely food at the craster arms which was close by. The only thing we would recommend would be more lighting outside (although we think that it would have been more well lit if the weather wasn’t so bad and the solar lights were more powered which couldn’t be helped). Also the kids were scared they would fall out of the top bunk as there is no side railing. (They were fine) Overall we had a very lovely weekend!

Hi Thank you for your review and we are so pleased your enjoyed your stay, despite the weather. We realise that the solar lights aren't working so well in the winter and we have purchased some lights to wire into the electricity to make it easier for the darker nights. We are also in the process of revamping the bed guards so they aren't a permanent structure as some people don't need them but I am sorry they are still being made to fit the beds. We hope that you will come and stay again and you can see the new additions

Sunday to Wednsday short stay

We rented both the Sandpiper & the Sanderling for a stay with our friends and there dog my wife and i had the larger hut the Sandpiper together with our dog both huts are lovley and quint the smaller hut haveing the better view over the fields and the sea in the distance both huts have the sky view from the comfortable king size bed if we are being critical theres not a lot of outside lights for when its dark ie going out to the hut where the fridge and logs are stored also there needs to be a hand rail on the steps up to the huts door and some way of tring the hut door open

We have electric lights to wire in next week as we realised that the solar power isn't working that well in the winter months. We have also been waiting on the handrail to be made, which we have now and that will be fitted on Friday this week, thanks Sam

2 night stay in the sandpiper

Decent location and nice setup, great spot for dogs, but a few things let it down. The hut looked good at first glance, but cleanliness wasn’t great — cobwebs around the place and a bit dusty. The fire pit and pizza oven hadn’t been cleaned out, which was disappointing. Hardly any plug sockets too. Fine for a night or two, but not great value for the price.

Hi Thank you for your review and for letting me know about the few issues you have mentioned. I can only apologise for the cobwebs and I will let the team know about them. Also the BBQ pit/pizza oven should have been cleaned and designed to rust with the weather so not sure if this was the issue or whether there was still ash in from previous guests and again I will check this out. There are 3 sockets in the hut, 2 on the wall in kitchen and 1 in the cupboard where the solar power is stored. I am sorry if this wasn't enough for your stay but we do have to bear in mind the solar energy and how many electronics that will allow to charge and support. We do try and promote the huts as somewhere to switch off and relax

Holiday with friends

Loved the shepherds hut. It’s a small space for such a long stay though so bear that in mind. The only thing missing was a comfy chair to lounge on and somewhere to hang clothes. The bed was super comfy. The wood fired hot tub is great Would recommended to anyone for a long weekend / couple of nights stay. Beadnell is a great place with wonderful beach and pubs

Our stay

This place is gorgeous and we loved our time here. Couple of small things nothing major but just to let you know for future bookings. Main door was very stubborn to open and close. Coffee jar was almost empty and coffee was hard so not been change for a while and we didnt have coal for the fire pit let out or in the shed that was also hard to open and close. Thought it was slightly further from the road fir noise This place is fabulous and I would definitely recommend and come back to stay great service beautiful comfy beds and the stargazing was spectacular. Communication was brilliant with an early check in. Loved all the little touches. Amazing place close to everything ✨️ magical
