Sustainable, community-focused accommodation with a difference

Welcome to Haiti Communitere where accommodation is one of the many services that our resource center provides to guests and partners. Our base is a co-living and co-working community built on the idea of shared resources and shared overhead. Over the past 7 years, we have become what you see today because of the work of several thousand volunteers from dozens of countries who have made this place their home, launched their own projects, started businesses or simply passed through.

In addition to offering accommodation, Haiti Communitere has a grassroots approach that involves an active, experienced, on-the-ground presence with a focus on providing the resources, processes and tools required to empower local people and groups to take an active role in the renewal and strengthening of their own communities. In addition, we are committed to bridging the gap between individuals who are willing to help and organizations that can effect change. Central to that commitment is the notion that communication, information, and strategic partnerships are vital for strengthening local communities in their renewal.
