Experience a unique stay in this beautiful shepherds hut with a bonus of a fantastic wood fired hot tub, a perfect place for a few days in the countryside!. 3 steps to entrance.

All on the Ground Floor:

Bedroom area: Kingsize (5ft) Bed

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Electric central heating (underfloor in kitchen, living room and dining room), electricity, bed linen and towels included. Front garden with patio, sitting-out area, garden furniture and firepit. Hot tub for 2 (private). 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (working farm). Private parking for 1 car. Our glamping accommodations feature six thoughtfully designed pods and a cosy shepherd’s hut, each equipped with a kitchenette, shower room, and plush king-size beds. For a truly unique experience, book a stay at Cherry Tree Lodge, a welcoming shepherd’s hut complete with a wood-fired hot tub. Barn Owl also offers the luxury of a hot tub, perfect for relaxing under the stars after a day of exploration.

Guests can enjoy scenic strolls around the charming lake or explore nearby attractions, such as the tranquil Shady Lane Arboretum. Evenings are best spent around the communal outdoor fire pit, sharing stories and creating memories beneath a starlit sky.

For dining, the on-site Cow & Plough pub serves delicious meals crafted from locally sourced ingredients, including wood-fired pizzas that are sure to satisfy. Your four-legged friends are welcome, too, with comfortable pet beds provided to ensure they feel at home.

I booked this cottage as it was a very good price for a one night stay.

I booked this cottage as it was a very good price for a one night stay. I’d recommend as it was in a very peaceful area, with a lovely pub that does nice food about a minute walk away. The only downside to the properties area was the internet connection, as data was struggling for connection. The hot tub was brilliant, would recommend to make sure you burn wood straight away as it takes a while to warm up. It was a very cosy night and I’d definitely recommend and even come back again.

Had a lovely 3 nights here. There was great communication between us and the owners. They helped us out securing the decking area so our dog couldn't get out. Everything was ready for our arrival. The place was immaculately presented and very welcoming. The hot tub, hot and welcoming.The local pub (Cow and Plough) which was kind of on site, was a nice evening out. The food was amazing. We bought BBQ bits from farm shop too. Which was really good.All in all, it was a brilliant break that was much needed and couldn't fault anything.

We enjoyed our stay at Cherry tree lodge however based on a the price, we did expect a few things that weren’t located in the property. To start with the positives, the cabin itself was stunning, so well decorated, lovely heated floors, exceptionally clean, great facilities. Plenty of space and very comfy bed. Robe and towels provided was such a nice touch. One of the prettiest cabins we have stayed in. What let the stay down was when we arrived, it was dark and no lighting to guide us to the property, so had to walk across the muddy field, which we didn’t mind but a path and lighting would’ve helped and could see people with limited mobility struggling with this. The hot tub was great, perfect for 2 people and heated up well by wood however it felt a bit unclean and had scum around the edges so only used for the first night. We had brought some wine but a bottle opener was not stocked so had to open with a knife which was a pain. Also, it would’ve been nice to have a welcome milk in the fridge having travelled so far, little welcome gifts in places we have stayed previously and paid a lot less for have made arriving so much nicer after a long journey. It just felt like the efforts were half done. The location was great and a lovely spot close to visiting our friends in Leicester and enjoyed a meal for both nights in the nearby pub, the cow and plough which was a short walk up the road. We did really enjoy our stay and felt very rested, it was just for the price, we would’ve expected a few more additions of what the cabin had to offer. All in all though, very happy.
