Beautiful Vidanta Puerto Penasco resort is located approximately 20 minutes from the city of Puerto Penasco (also known as Rocky Point). This spacious unit contains 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (both with spa tubs), large living room, dining area, full kitchen, patio with plunge pool and view of either the estero or Sea of Cortez. The resort features swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), jacuzzis, restaurants, activities, kids club, lazy river (reserved for those guests staying in our Grand Mayan unit), fire pits by the beach (great for s'mores), beautiful beaches, spa (ask us about 2 for the cost of 1 massage), Jack Nicklaus golf course "one of the 20 most interesting golf courses in the world" (reduced green fees are $130 per person per round) . The resort is secluded and relaxing but still provides many things to do and many excursions are available. We were fascinated by the ebb and flow of the tides, when the tides were out you can walk about a mile before you reach the ocean - we saw more sea shells than we had ever seen before - it was amazing. The town of Puerto Penasco provides a walking malecon with statues, beautiful beaches such as Playa Hermosa and Sandy Beach, shopping, activities (such as ATVs, excursions, snorkeling, scuba diving. kayaking, jet skiing, horse back riding and sport fishing), concerts, restaurants with ocean views and some of the best shrimp we have ever had.
