Great Family Getaway

My family gathered and stayed here while attending a wedding. It was so nice to have multiple rooms for the families to stay and ir was beautiful.

Great for a large group

This was a great stay for our group. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, very large gathering area, and plenty of amenities. Will definitely book again

A great family getaway!

We had our Friendsgiving here and never left the property. We took walks on the beautiful property, played flag football in the huge field, used the fire place and grill area all day and we really just had a great time! Thank you for having us!!

Nice place

We wanted to see George L. Smith state park. The park was amazing! And this property was the closest that could accommodate a large group. All rooms were equally good and the common area was big and comfortable for our group.

Game Weekend

This place was awesome for coming back to college with friends for the GA Southern game. Private rooms and bathrooms with giant gathering area. Will definately book again.

Family Gathering

What a perfect choice for a family gathering. We were there to celebrate the life of our loved one who passed away recently. The facility offered privacy in the bedrooms and open space for being together. Will be back.

We were in town for our daughters wedding! The lodge was the perfect place for our large family to stay and be based out of during the wedding weekend! It was such a blessing to have such a spacious place to retreat to and to gather! Made the whole weekend so peaceful and calm! Everything at the lodge was top notch - we had all we needed!! Thank you! A very special weekend in every aspect!

it's a very happy and well cared for lodge

My group was very happy and enjoyed the stay at your lodge. The girls had fun playing the games and visiting with Rain, your dog. Everything was very clean and plenty of space for the 12 of us. Thank you, we hope to come back for regionals next year. Julie

Great family venue

This was the perfect setting for our family gathering. The accommodations were clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. the layout of the setting gives everyone privacy and allows the group to gather together in a huge common area that provided great family activities, It was great that every room had a separate bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked. The outside sitting area was also perfect. The host was great in responding quickly as well. We would love to stay there again.

Family Wedding

It was beautiful. We had 9 people in our group and there was plenty of room. The kids enjoyed the pool table. We all had our own rooms. Which were nicely decorated with hunting items. It was hot but, there are swings, patio setting, and a wooden play right across fom the house. We had a wonderful stay.

A little disappointed, but still lots of fun

I really liked this house, an was so excited to stay here when I booked it but after staying three full nights there were some deceiving issues. The pool table still has a large rip in the felt near a corner pocket, and there are several dead spots on the edges. Meaning you try to hit off of the bank and the ball is cushioned instead of bouncing off. However will still played several games so still playable just not 100%. The foosball table, one of the men is not secured so he is unusable. This would be a very easy fix, just missing a hex nut and a screw. Dart board is an electronic dart board and does not work properly. The patio light for the grill does not work so we needed a flash light to cook at night. My bathroom did not have any hot water, and the toilet would kick on every 20-30min assuming from a bad seal in the tank, so I would shut it off every night before bed. Everyone else had hot water in their room. The ice maker next to the fridge does not work. And worst of all was the rooms would get very hot at night. Everyone mentioned how they would wake up sweating, some even resorted to sleeping on the couch to stay cool at night. And we cannot adjust the thermostat because its locked. However it wasn't until the last night that I noticed we could contact the homeowner about the temperature but I do not know what that entails. House has a lot of potential but needs some amenities repaired.

Excellent!!

Red Fern Lodge is a GREAT place to stay in Statesboro, especially if you have a larger group. Kitchen is spacious, huge sitting area, awesome outdoor area!! This was our second year staying here and plan to be back for a third!

A wonderful family gathering place.

We have stayed at the Red Fern on 3 separate occasions. It’s a perfect solution for our family. We enjoy the spacious kitchen: , playing a game of pool and sitting outside around the fire pit.

Stay there in June everything was nice.but our most recent stay was more work than vacation no cable for 3 days and the refrigerator went out with a fridge full of food had to get ice and cooler to save our food

Red Fern Plantation Lodge

Really a neat change of pace when looking for a family retreat. All the smallish bedrooms have their own personal bathroom so all conflicts are avoided. The gathering area downstairs is terrific. Room for everyone doing different things. At any one time we had folks watching TV, playing pool & foosball, playing dominoes, and chatting at the kitchen island/bar with plenty of room for all. The felt needs to be replaced on the pool table, the outside grounds around the grill area need to be cleaned up and maintained due to the overhanging crepe myrtle trees, and the handle on the lower freezer door of the refrigerator needs to be repaired. All in all, everyone enjoyed themselves with plenty to do in the surrounding area.
