The lake house is a rustic lodge type house that is perfect for fishermen and families who want to enjoy Lake Logan Martin. The House has a large screened in porch and pier. The house is located in Lisa's Cove near Stemley Bridge off of Highway 34. It is easy to find by both water and land. The Address is 160 Lisas Cove Talladega Al 35160. The house has five bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, fireplace, sunroom and large screened-in porch. The beds consist of two king, one queen, 1 full and one set of bunk beds with a full on the bottom and twin on top plus a trundle bed in the livingroom. Completely furnished with central air-conditioning, dishwasher, stove microwave, coffee pot, cookware, charcoal grill, television with cable, DVD player, and outside stereo. To keep cost down we ask guest to bring Linens and towels.

Pontoon boats are available to rent at Poorhouse Mariana. Do not use my neighbors boat ramp or ask them. We do not have a boat ramp. Poorhouse marina is 2 miles from house by road and water. Please keep off of grass after heavy rains with cars and trucks. Please do not park or drive between house and lake. Thank You

ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
4 night weekday minimum for the months of June and July, Week Minimum for Memorial Day Week and Labor Day Week. If you see that a week you are interested in is available two weeks before the week, please call and we may consider a three night minimum.

$300 Deposit will be returned within two weeks if property is not damaged.

Talladega Race Week -(Both Weeks are Open this Year) Must rent the entire week. There is a $1000 deposit on race weeks. If you see that the week is available two weeks or less than the race, please call and we may consider a reduced rate.

We like this place a lot. Centrally located with all of our planned activities. Lake access for fishing and boating. Close to the Talladega Marksmanship Park. Close to the Talladega Speedway. Easy drive to Pell City.

We just returned from a stay at this rustic cabin by the lake and had a really enjoyable time. The setting is absolutely beautiful—the view of the lake is stunning, and we spent countless hours on the screened-in back porch just soaking it in. It quickly became our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening card games. The dock was a major highlight for our kids. They swam, fished, and played there for hours every day. It was the kind of unplugged, outdoor fun we were hoping for, and it made for some great family memories. Before booking, we did notice that a previous review mentioned bedbugs, so we were naturally a little concerned—but we’re happy to report we had no issues at all, and the owner took the concerns seriously and we had no issues. That said, the cabin is definitely rustic. It's a bit dated inside and could use a little extra attention in terms of cleanliness—nothing terrible, just not spotless. If you're expecting a luxury stay, this might not be the place. But if you’re looking for a quiet, down-to-earth getaway with a killer view and love the outdoors, this cabin fits the bill. We really enjoyed our time here and would gladly come back!

Low Key Perfect

The location of this stay was absolutely perfect. The river/lake is just beautiful. We wakeboarded, tubed and fished in our downtime. The screened patio was such a great space to hang out, play games, and visit. Cookouts, big breakfasts, and late-night fun filled our days as we were able to relax and spend time with family. There are plenty of nearby amenities should you need something from "town." If you're looking for fancy, this is not your place, but if you want a warm, family-friendly atmosphere in the perfect location -- this place is a hidden jewel. I hesitated to leave a good review, because I don't want it to be booked when we want to come back!!!

Family Lake Week

Good for the price. We had from 6 to 12 family members there thru the week. The property fit our needs. We loved the view from the large screened area, were we ate every meal. We experienced three 100+ degree days and the porch was the place to be if not in or on the water. Gas and ice are less than a mile away. Pirate island was the highlight of our days with the grandchildren. The owner is very attentive.

Trip to visit family

We've stayed twice and enjoyed it both times . We especially love that there is a dock to fish from and the house can accommodate a large group.

Rustic Cabin Adventure

We decided to stay at this property because it would accommodate our large group. Upon arrival it was as described, a rustic cabin. It checked the boxes for our large group but the kitchen is rather small to try and cook for everyone. The screened in porch area is large and was a lifesaver since that is where we spent most of the time there. The dock is simple but functioned well for us hanging out in the lake. If you are trying to accommodate a large group this place will do that but has some quirks. The description of the house is spot on, dont forget to bring the linens as they are not provided. Ron was very tentative to any and all our communications during our stay. Overall it was a good stay!

Family fun

The property location is convenient and close to grocery stores for supplies and restaurants also. The screened in porch is an amazing feature!! Plenty of beds for even large families there were 7 of us and we slept comfortably. Lots of fish was caught from the pier at night after a day swimming and floating in the quiet slough. The host Ron Jones communicates promptly. My only suggestion would be in addition to your own linens carry your key cooking pots and pans……like everyone and everything else the ones provided have worn out over time. Quick trip to Walmart settled that issue and I have new cookware at home!! Win win for the team. Thank you Ron for a wonderful week on the lake. This was our second trip to the property and probably WILL NOT be our last!!

We chose Logan marting Lake because it has everything that we wanted in a vacation place close to our home. You are on the lake and away from the the city but when you need something you can be in town in 10 minutes. We also bought this property because it is easy to find and you do not have to have a GPS to find it.
