Being the central area between Florence (30 minutes) and Siena (40 minutes) you can quickly get to San Gimignano, Colle Val d'Elsa, Radda and Greve in Chianti, Volterra (50 minutes) and in about an hour and a half to the sea of Versilia (Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi). Florence Peretola Airport can be reached in 30-40 minutes and Pisa Airport in 50-60 minutes.
