reachable from the Port (150 meters from the pedestrian and vehicular exit of
Varco Vespucci) and from the Railway Station (1 km). GUEST HOUSE COLORS is
located just 10 steps from the entrance to the Darsena Romana, a picturesque
monumental setting of the Ancient Roman Port and represents the ideal
starting point for visiting the points of interest of the
city on foot (200 meters from the main shopping street, 300 meters from the
historic center, 650 meters from the city market). The common area of
GUEST HOUSE COLORS, with its charming little balcony, also offers a
front row seat on the city sea and allows you to enjoy moments of
relaxation in front of a unique and unforgettable panorama. From this part
of the house, just before sunset, it is easy to come across suggestive
scenes of fishermen who, returning from a day of fishing with
their own boat, mend their nets and sell the catch of the day to
shopkeepers and restaurateurs of the city.
GUEST HOUSE COLORS is located in a quiet setting, far from the noise of
city traffic, although in the center of the city. It is located in a
historic building, made up of a few condominiums. It has an
optimal exposure that guarantees abundant natural light from dawn to
dusk: in fact there are no buildings in front of the windows of
the bedrooms and it faces the sea on the common breakfast area.
The entrance to the building in which GUEST HOUSE COLORS is located is
exactly in front of the entrance gate to the Darsena Romana and the
Molo del Lazzaretto: from this gate begins the journey through
the historic port of the city. Walking along the ancient walls, you can
admire the famous Porta Livorno, the Vanvitelli fountain, until
you reach Forte Michelangelo, a fortress dating back to 1500 AD. Near GUEST HOUSE COLORS there is also the Historic Center, with
numerous Churches and important Palaces, the Municipal Library, Corso
Marconi, that is, the main shopping street, the most important
fruit, vegetable and fish market in Civitavecchia and La Marina,
that is, the city's seafront, the nerve center of events, concerts
and demonstrations.
