Cottage Sävviken by lake Ullvettern - Fishing Swimming Boating Trekking

Lakeside cottage with its own jetty and boat in lake Ullvettern, which is part of the Bergslag Canal with seven fish-rich lakes from Filipstad to Karlskoga. Spacious kitchen and bathroom and large living room with log burner and TV. Glazed conservatory with fireplace and a large south-facing patio. One bedroom with a double bed and one with a bunk bed. On the backyard there is a guest house with a double bed that can be separated. Nearby are Bergslagen's forests with hiking trails and attractions. The cottage is located on the second row from the lake with a substantial plot of land for play, games and sun and also a private jetty by the lake with space for two boats and a couple of deckchairs and bathing ladder. It is also possible to bring and launch your own boat with a trailer and have it moored at the jetty for fishing and longer boat trips. The boat provided is 3,5 m long, is unsinkable and has an electric motor and oars.
The private jetty/dock is about 150 m walk from the house.
If you continue past the jetty, there is a boules court and its own small islet with a communal bathing jetty and barbecue area in the evening sun.

The main building has a brand new spacious kitchen fully equipped with induction cooker, dishwasher, convection oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. Plenty of crockery and kitchen accessories for comfortable cooking for at least 6 persons. Ordinary spices, washing-up liquid etc are free to use. But feel free to top up if something runs out!

The bathroom with shower is spacious and there is a hairdryer and electrical outlet. Washing machine and tumble dryer are located in a utility room along with all cleaning equipment.

The living room is large and has a fireplace a logburner. It's equipped with a 65" Smart-TV with Swedish terrestrial free channels and apps such as Netflix, Youtube, Rakuten etc and Airplay for streaming from your own devices. WIFI with a good unlimited 4G+ connection and also Bluetooth speaker.

Outside the living room, there is a cozy glazed conservatory, also with a fireplace, which enhances the feeling.

If you continue out on the same level, you will find a large south-facing patio with a table that can accommodate 8 people.

The patio continues around the house and on the backside you find another large patio, this one under cover. Here you have the entrance to the house as well the utility room. A seating area, charcoal grill and a box with outdoor games etc.

Inside the cottage there is one bedroom with a double bed (160 cm) and one with a bunk bed (2 x 90 cm) and two wardrobes. In the living room you can find another large wardrobe.

On the yard there is also a small cabin with a double bed (180 cm that can be separated to 2 x 90 cm) if you are more than 4 people or want slightly separated sleeping areas. Here there is also a desk with space for a computer if you want to be able to sit and work a away from everything.

In addition to swimming and fishing in the lakes Ullvettern, Frövettern, Alkvettern, Öjevettern and Stor-Lungen in the Bergslag Canal, there are also many of Bergslagen's sights such as Persbergs Gruvfält and Hornkullens Silver Mine, as well as many nice and well-marked hiking and cycling trails nearby.

It is 23 km to Karlskoga by car and there are also good bus connections, and it is 28 km to Kristinehamn. In these cities there are both attractions such as the Picasso sculpture and the Nobel Museum and good grocery stores.

A simple launching ramp for boats up to approx. 5 m is available at the lake by the cabin and fishing licenses can be redeemed online for fishing in the lake system. See info in the room folder!

The boat has oars and an electric motor with a battery that is enough for 2-3 hours of driving and is free to use.

At the cabin there is a place outside for cleaning fish with running water and an extra freezer available if you are a big fisherman.

Bed linen and towels are always included!
