There are delightful local village walks, and cyclists will enjoy winding through the attractive villages and wildflower-laden country lanes.Ullswater, known as the most romantic lake, and the Keswick area with its spectacular high fells, are both within an easy 15 to 20 minute drive. The local village has a fantastic country pub dating from the 17th century and a local village store and boasts the magnificent Greystone Castle, the ancestral home of Tarzan which is now open to the public. In summer there is also a heated outdoor swimming pool with a café located within the village.
