The farmhouse was an amazing location situated off the road, yet close enough to the attractions. John amd Joyce were very friendly and easy to work with. Would definitely recoomend this farmhouse to anyone looking in the area

Home away from home

The farm house was absolutely beautiful. It was our home away from home during our vacation. It was clean and comfortable. John and Joyce were delightful and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again when we visit our family in the area.

Charming wonderful farmhouse

Can’t say enough about how charming the farmhouse was. Full of history but also all the amenities and attention to detail for an enjoyable stay. Hosts were amazing. Note that the only shower is upstairs which might be good to know for some groups. Highly recommend this lovely home.

Our daughter was getting married at Brookside, which made this a great place to stay! And it will not disappoint!! The hosts went above, and beyond what was needed or asked!! would definitely stay again!

Great Old Farmhouse

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful old farmhouse and property. The house is a walk back in time and full of charm. The property is beautiful and a relaxing place to stay. We loved it and recommend it to anyone who wants a comfy country getaway. John and Joyce were great to work with and very welcoming.

Warm and friendly

My wife, daughter and I stayed here with some friends and their daughter over the Labor Day weekend. The farmhouse is charming and very clean. The pastoral setting and view is just what we needed to recharge for fall. John and Joyce are gracious hosts and we recommend spending time at this great property!

Brad, wife and daughter, and their friends were the perfect guests. We had the opportunity to spend a little time with them and it was awesome. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent. Our Inn was left in immaculate condition. Definitely a 5 plus in every category. Would highly recommend them to other hosts.

Wonderful and Beautiful Farmhouse!

We had an absolutely wonderful time! It was better than anticipated, giving each of my family members a unique experience! I couldn't ask for more. It was very clean. No issues at all.

Immaculate home in such a peaceful & beautiful setting!

We rented the farm to visit with family and they all ended up coming to the farm to visit us! The grounds were so beautiful and well maintained and the house was fabulous! We all enjoyed the front porch especially. John was such a great host! Very kind and attentive. This was the best experience I’ve ever had renting a VRBO. We hope to return soon.

Peaceful escape

We rented the farmhouse for our family while in the area to attend a 90th birthday. We loved having so much space. It was very comfortable for everyone. The house was impeccably clean And well equipped. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. Thank you John and Joyce. We loved meeting you and would love to stay again sometime.

Little Farmhouse

What a breath of fresh air! I told my husband I wanted to stay in the country, and he came out shining in his choice! Very quaint. Each piece was placed perfectly giving a homey comfortable feeling. The owners were perfect hosts, friendly, helpful but giving us our privacy. Exceedingly clean. We highly recommend!

Jean & Ted were the perfect guests. Upon meeting them for the very first time, they became instant friends. A very down to earth couple with whom we had the opportunity to cross paths with several times during their stay. They even brought us a tree to plant which certainly was a first. Our histori 1870 farm house was left immaculate. Joyce and I highly recommend them to other hosts. A 5+ all the way.

Exceptional Farm House

Our four nights at this 150-year-old farm house were wonderful. The property is beautiful, with 14 heads of Black Angus show cattle moving about the pastures in front of the house throughout the day. The house is very, very quiet and sitting at the porch was thoroughly enjoyable. We enjoyed meeting John and Joyce. Out of 6-7 stays at various VRBO properties, this has been without a doubt the one we have enjoyed the most. Highly recommended.

Family time

I can’t say enough good things about the beautiful home or the wonderful owner ! The property was lovely , 36 acres, and we could go everywhere! Our family had a reunion nearby and unexpectedly a place we thought we had booked fell thru. John was so kind, he got back with us right away and despite a family emergency of his own , got us squared away in a day. Highly recommend!

Relaxing long weekend home base to enjoy local attractions!

John and Joyce were wonderful hosts and helped us find several wonderful local restaurants (Samantha's was fantastic for breakfast and Scratch is a local treasure for dinner!) and wineries. We had a great stay with our dear friends exploring local wineries on Friday, including Gervasi which is a short 10 minute drive from the property. On saturday we took our boat to Lake Milton, which was only about 20 minutes away and enjoyed a fantastic day on the water. John & Joyce provided several unexpected surprises including coffee, some snacks and spices and other items you have at home but don't want to have to bring along for a short stay. The property is absolutely gorgeous and very peaceful! There is so much history in the farmhouse, it made for a very interesting visit. Would definitely stay again.

Home Away from Home

The 1870 Farmhouse has the charm of modern day living decorated and maintained in earlier 20th century comfort and appearance. We spent four days visiting relatives during the day, and looked forward to returning back to relax and enjoy preparing our evening meal in the convenience of a spectacular kitchen equipped so well and sitting down to eat in the adjacent spacious dining room. We utilized each of the three bedrooms with very comfortable beds, adorable decor and great closet space. The den and sitting rooms were so great. The fantastic porches and lovely landscaping provided an opportunity to enjoy morning and evening beverages and relaxation throughout the day. Everything was even better than we imagined. We all want to return again and again, especially due to the reception we received from our great hosts, who care about you and your satisfying experience in their home.

Pro HoF Enshrinement Celebration ~ a Dream Getaway

Couldn't have asked for a more perfect location to stay with the most gracious hosts, John & Joyce, of Brookside Farm. The trip was a "surprise" getaway for my husband, an avid Cleveland Browns fan, to attend the HoF Game and Enshrinement of Joe Thomas in the Class of 2023 Pro HoF in Canton, OH, Aug 3-6. I had previously shared the "surprise" with John & Joyce when making the reservation and they went above and beyond to ensure we had the most fabulous and memorable time making the absolute best of our stay in our short visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the legacy farm home, a very well maintained, comfortably and beautifully furnished home and the beauty of the surrounding property and eccentric town(s). We capped off the weekend with a wonderful visit Saturday evening with John & Joyce and another couple staying in a second property. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we hope to return with our football-loving family to make some more wonderful memories soon!!

John and Joyce owners of the home were so friendly and helpful. There home was perfect.

Everything was perfect. John and Joyce were great host. The group who stayed and the Bulldog nation who visit for the Saturday pre party were all so pleased. Many memories made.
