What a great time we had at this property. This was out third year and it seems to get better each year. Would recommend this to anyone with a large group. Great space for all enjoying the property. Also make sure you visit the Wakey Monkey Coffee shop in Saluda.

Fantastic and Peaceful

The Escape was very private and roomy! Very well maintained and supplied. We loved sitting outside in one of the covered porches. My daughter discovered the Merlin app and was able to find 18 different birds one morning. Great experience. We would definitely book again. It's hard to find a place that fits our family of ten so well, but there was a space for everyone!

Perfect for a family gathering!

The Escape was exactly as billed! Beautiful, secluded, spacious, clean and perfect for group. My family gathered there for my son’s wedding at the picturesque Glassy Chapel. There was plenty of room for socializing, and eating, but the size and location of the bedrooms, two living room and outdoor deck spaces allowed for smaller group activities and personal space. Four couples can all have a suite and the kids and/ or teens can have the 2nd floor loft rooms with a full bath to share. The main and lower half baths were also conveniently located. The large home is accommodating, yet very cozy. Saluda is a very quaint small town with a variety of shops and restaurants, but everything closes up pretty early. Fortunately, we planned to mostly cook in and everything we needed was there.

Family wedding getaway

The house is beautiful and very well kept. It is extremely spacious and was a perfect fit for our group of 10. Communication with the owners was very good and they were prompt in responding to any inquiry we had.They have a book with various suggestions of places to eat & things to do in the area. We would love to return to explore further, we were in town for a family wedding so our weekend was pretty planned for us. Thank you for your hospitality!

Great place to stay.

The cabin was just as described and wonderful for our group. What made this cabin better than some of the others we've stayed in were the little touches and details that were added to make your stay easier. The road to the cabin is lined with lights which makes it easier at night. The amenities within the cabin were nice, things not normally seen in other cabins. The cabin was ready for us, snow was removed from the walkway and the heat was on when we arrived. I would stay here again and our team agreed. Highly recommend this cabin. It is located near the town of Saluda and only a few minutes away from Hendersonville if you need a bigger town.

Great 100th bday celebration

After negotiating the effects of Hurricane Helene, we were so happy our stay in “The Escape” worked out! The house was perfect for our family of five siblings and spouses celebrating together what would have been our Dad’s 100th birthday. The house was awesome, everyone had their own bedroom and bath and having two living room spaces and two refrigerators really added to the comfort. The parking area was very spacious, and the fire pit with a lot of wood stacked up certainly added to our fun. Thx for a memorable weekend!

Nice place to stay

When we got there the pool was dirty wit towels and toys on the deck. The pool was covered with leaves, and the walkway to the pool was also covered with leaves! However, we called about the problem, and they were there that afternoon to fix the problems we complained about!! The oven was filled with grease , so we had a Smokey house for a few hours. The rental company wanted us to take the trash to the street and the driveway had a 45 degree angel so it was not easy taking the trash up.

Very nice property. Clean, well supplied. Prompt responses from host. After a hard rain, there were limbs on the driveway which we had to move into order to get up to the property. Drive is steep but manageable. A little more gravel/smoothing out would make the driveway easier to navigate.

Great House and location

This is the third time I have stayed at this house. It is great as far as the space and it is in a secluded location. I wish there was a pool table or other game tables in the basement. A hot tub would also make this house perfect. I must say the kitchen needs a deep cleaning - the counters were very dirty and the stove and back splash were nasty. The dishes had been put in the cabinet dirty (coffee cups had coffee residue like they had been used and just put away). The large sofa needs to be cleaned or replaced also, otherwise the property was clean. We really like this house and would stay again, hopefully if some much needed maintenance was done.

Amazing family getaway

This house is so nice. We had a few different family members that all stayed together and there was so much room, inside and out, for everyone. Plus, so many bathrooms! The check in and check out was super easy. Already talking about when we can stay again. Great cabin for a large group!

It's less than 2 miles from the interstate and less than a mile to downtown Saluda yet feels like it is in a world by itself. The cabin was designed to take advantage of the southern exposure and mountain vista.
