Top floor one bedroom apartment w/vaulted ceiling and clearstory windows. Beautifully finished with a new queen bed, quality furnishings, carpet and laminate floors. This is a turn-key unit so everything needed is provided including internet TV and WiFi The location within walking distance to downtown and one block from the Park Strip. The building is secure and dedicated parking is on-site. This apartment is no smoking and no pets. We have hosted many satisfied travelers and business professionals and would be pleased to have you stay with us while in Anchorage.

About the Neighborhood
This is a downtown Anchorage residential neighborhood that is convenient to all activities, recreation and is one block from the Park Strip. Enjoy walking, biking, taking in local events and still be within a few minutes of work to anywhere in Anchorage.

Great neighborhood to stay. Close to everything downtown. Very good accommodation to stay for the week and great communication with the host. Definitely worth the stay.

Nice apartment near downtown

The apartment is comfortable and clean. It has a well equipped kitchen and is walking distance to a grocery store, a cafe, and downtown. Since we didn't have a car, this was important for us. We highly recommend it. Maria, Boston

Fantastic Experience!

The property was exceptionally maintained and the owners went out of their way to make sure that you had a wonderful stay. Ida had a pie waiting for me as well as bottled water, snacks and coffee. The basement suite was newly remodeled and was very welcoming. There was a nice outdoor area that can be utilized as well, which is really nice. This was a business trip for me but I look forward to using their property again for a family trip in the future! I would highly encourage staying there….. unless that’s the time I want to come back! 😂

Discovering Alaska

This was our first trip to Alaska. We did it on our own as we aren't 'cruise people'. There was a hiccup in checking in, but Howard responded promptly to our call and all was well. We enjoyed the location and the cleanliness of the property. We truly enjoyed our first trip to Alaska. Howard gave us some great tips on things to do and restaurants to try and his tips were right on! We would love to come back and stay at this property again.

Anchorage vacation

Apartment was fairly close to all city sites, easy to get to. Quiet stay in neighborhood environment. Even the other apartments in same building were very quiet. Easy parking. 3 floor setting needs to be explicitly stated in description as climbing the stairs could be an issue with certain people. Apartment is dated but was clean, had good quality dishes, cookware, towels and bedding. A little too warm at night, would’ve been nice to have a fan in bedroom. Bathroom had mildew odor from shower curtain. Great size for 2 guests. Host was communicative.

Perfect home base

We came to visit our kids and grandkids who are both in Anchorage and Wasilla. This apartment gave us a great home base during our stay so we would spend time with everyone. It’s safe with access codes for both the entry door and the apartment door so check in is a breeze. Howard is quick to respond and very professional. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice place, but you need an app to watch TV

Since I use Directv at home, and don't use apps like Hulu, I was unable to get TV. I complained and the owner refunded me for the time I cancelled. Everything else was fine.

Really nice place to stay! Very clean and comfortable. Great location as well. Would definitely stay here again. My two complaints are that the TV does not work even though cable is advertised and Howard the host did not answer my two calls when I was lost and trying to find the building. It’s not building 140 it’s building 1101... That is why I did not give five stars.

Howard Harris has no customer service skills.

I will never stay in any property that Howard Harris manages again. On our stay, my boyfriend was outside of the apartment when some strange man approached him and demanded that he let him into the building claiming that he lived there but his girlfriend had thrown him out. Day 2 as we were in our car leaving this man shows up again banging on our car window begging for money. Day 3 this same man shows up again demanding to be let into the building. The same night the Alaska police show up at the door asking if we have seen this man. At this point, I contacted Howard Harris telling him what had happened and he acted like it was no big deal. He never apologized and made it seem like this was all our fault. I asked full some kind of refund and was basically denied. I had to contact vrbo to file a complaint. This was our 10 year Anniversary. Back in March when I first booked this apartment Howard contacted me because there was a problem with the apartment that we had paid for. The people that were in there wanted to stay longer and I asked Howard to just send me pictures or the link for the new apartment and he fought me all the way. It has been a horrible experience working with him. There was no signal for the T.V. either and when we contacted Howard about this never contacted us til 3:30 in the morning.

Excellent Price & Accommodation

This is a one bedroom apartment in an older complex in an older building, which concerned me at first. However, the unit is extraordinarily well maintained and spectacularly clean. The owner is very responsive and helpful. I gave it 4 stars out of 5 only because despite leaving early, I still have not received my deposit.

Central location

The apartment was clean and had plenty of towels, etc upon arrival. Quiet location, close to downtown, very easy to get around from. Washing machine didn’t do a great job getting things clean, but everything else was great.

Bed wa great, Howard the owner went over the top making sure we where fine and Ray was great also

Location great well maintained again bed great furnishings great. If there was anything sort it was on the third floor which we knew but my wife over packed and it was a heavy bag. Close to heart of downtown and Walmart for supplies and all the restaurants. Great starting point for all our day trips we took. Nothing negative to be said. Would highly recommended for any age group of travelers. We had a great stay and vacation. Thanks Howard. Hope to use again.
