This 5 bedroom, 3 bath home has plenty of room to spend time with a large group or just you and your special someone. Relax on the deck, play and explore in the huge fenced yard, or enjoy watching TV and playing games inside.

Big house with a really large backyard. Not fancy by any means but served it's purpose. The house could use a few things updated and maintained but nothing that would prevent us from staying there again. Very quiet area, easy to get into and great communication with the host.

The stay was fine but the home is need of lots of updates and a good deep cleaning. For the price it was fine. But if the price had been 500 more I would have been on the phone the first day. It's great but needs lots work.

Vacation of peace

A rustic modern type feel with beautiful scenery and fresh air. A chance to experience the woods and view my husky in her most natural state. Me and my new husband are very happy with our experience and plan to come back when we can.

Big Family trip

We loved our time staying here! There was 17 of us, this place was roomy, so many beds, we never felt crowded. The grounds were beautiful, we had so much fun walking the property with the little kids. Great communication with the owner. We'll definitely remember this place!

Perfect for our big family!

We felt such a sense of comfort in this spacious cabin! We have a large family and lively pups that all enjoyed a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday in the forest. What a lovely stay, and plenty of room for all. The neighborhood is great, and close to the wilderness, but also close to fun restaurants for nights out. We felt cozy and welcome, and overall had a great time. Thank you!

Loved the property space, my grandkids and dogs had a blast running around in the backyard!! Communication with owners was flawless and very accommodating and the house was big enough for our family of 6 with rooms to spare. The house is older and needing some updates but overall I highly recommend !!

The cleaners we were using during summer of 2024 have been replaced with new cleaners who are doing a much better job. We apologize the cabin was not up to our cleanliness standards during your stay.

Not what we expected!

Very outdated for the overall price. The grounds were not maintained. The cleaning crew did not clean the vent above the stove, it was filthy and hard to prepare our meals, thinking the dust would fall in our pans. The refrigerator had area that was dirty and stinky, it must have been blood from meat that leaked to the bottom. The front patio had a wasps nest, so we couldn't spend much time out in the patio, 2 people were stung.

VRBO advertised photos of this cabin are most likely the original photos from 2018 as the maintenance and caring of this place has obviously declined since. Unfortunately for us, on our check-in day we had to clean the house, wash sheets, towels, and comforters (at a local laundromat as their dryer was not doing the job) and disinfect beds with fabric Lysol. The mattress covers were full of stains and our master bedroom mattress cover had blood stains on it. Walls and baseboards were dirty, all carpets were full of stains, underneath the couches and their pillow cushions there were crumbs everywhere and it wasn’t vacuumed. The landscaping has not been kept up as there was overgrowth everywhere. We were able to smell the dust and dirtiness in the air the second we walked in. The oven and refrigerator were dirty. I cleaned the refrigerator but did not try to use the oven. This place definitely needs a deep, deep cleaning. The two upstairs bedrooms do not have AC which made it uncomfortable to take a nap during the day even with the fans on. It would be nice if each room had their own window and or portable AC unit to keep it cool during the day. However, once we cleaned we made it work, there were no other rentals available to house our group size that week or else we would have left. Our experience would’ve been way better if the place would’ve been nice and clean because it’s big and in a great location. Our host, Kim, was very responsive and returned our cleaning fee.

Outdated potential

This could be an incredible property with love. It’s not clean, there are patches on walls that aren’t painted. The deck has boards sagging that make you feel that you’ll fall through. The living room has stone tile and wood flooring that isn’t blended so it’s a toe stubbing recipe. There are so many dishes in the kitchen you have a hard time getting pots and pans out. The cabinets are full of so many things it’s very cluttered. I don’t mind left over spices but when they are spilled and opened bags in the cabinets it would have been better to just throw them away. Feels like a forgotten house. The hammocks are ripped to shreds. A deep clean and coat of paint would go miles. I was disappointed for sure unfortunately. The backyard is HUGE but not enjoyable because it is so overgrown. Like the title of this review says this could have so much potential. It’s a spacious house and a huge property but it’s just so rundown it didn’t feel like I was on vacation.

This place has potential! The owner was available through text but doesnt seem to know much about the property. All the reviews about cleanliness are true, it needs to be cleaned. I read every review before booking, and chose to give it a chance. It was the perfect location for our family reunion, our grandmother lives right around a couple corners from this house. It was a do-able price for all of us to pitch in on. It had enough bathrooms and bedrooms for all of us to share. It had a nice open livingroom with 3 couches for the kids to spread out. The tv has no account, so we used our own disney log in. We weren't excited about having to clean the first thing after getting there. We all drove 2 days, seperate routes and met up at this cabin. We didnt deep clean the whole house, only partially cleaned the things we needed. Toilets, showers, kitchen, tables, ect. The vacuum wasn't working so we swept what we could off the carpets. This 3 floor home only has a single window AC in the dining room/livingroom. The top floor gets very warm. They did supply fans for all the rooms. The top two rooms had 3 fans each and it still got hot. The 2 oldest kids think the place is haunted lol, their rooms door kept shutting and locking. I had it happen while I was in their room trying to calm them. It was odd. The lock is a push button lock too. They ended up sleeping downstairs lol. Not allowed to upload photos here for some reason. If they fix/clean everything, we wont mind coming back.

Rundown

I had reserved this cabin months in advance for me and my family of 12. I stayed in communication with the proptery manager to ensure we were all set for the trip. She was always very kind and quick to respond, which made me put any worries to bed. The pictures of the cabin made the place look very clean and put together. We all drove hours to get there and once we got to the cabin, we were extremely dissatisfied and disappointed to the point where we almost left. The place was very worn, dusty, and had built up filth on the walls, shelves, stove, and refigerator. We spent the first night cleaning and wondering if our sheets were even washed. It did not look like a cleaning service had gone there prior to us coming. The wifi did not work the majority of the time. A plumber had to come to fix the upstairs shower. There was no wood for the outside fire pit or the inside furnace. The property owner did her best to accommodate and I did appreciate her efforts, but I would not go back again.

We bent over backwards to try to make this guest happy for a couple of minor issues, but... some people cannot be satisfied. A few points of clarification: Our cleaners spent 4 hours cleaning the entire cabin and laundering all linens during the afternoon prior to this guest's arrival. A propane-fueled forced-air furnace controlled by a thermostat provides heat for the entire cabin. There are 3 working baths/showers and we sent a plumber to fix a minor water pressure issue on 1 showerhead. Virtually all of our guests have loved our place and many have come back multiple times. They do so because it is a beautiful property and a great value.

Not up to VRBO Clean Standards

Property older, well used & needs updating with thorough cleaning & painting in most rooms- not well maintained or up to VRBO standards- especially for price over Memorial Day. I rushed to scrub 3 filthy bathrooms and kitchen before my family arrived- so things are much cleaner now! I sent photos to owner who refunded my cleaning deposit. She does not live in area & was not aware of condition- even though supposedly "deep cleaned" recently. Soiled folding bed foam mattresses, dirt under couches and rug, rug curled on edges a trip hazard, dirty couches, only 1 pool cue worked, ripped hammock, crumbs and dirty kitchen shelves, disorganized closets & doors off hinges. Getting past that we enjoyed the 3 TVs, games, plenty of plates & glasses, dishwasher, seating inside & out on deck, most bed mattresses ok, fans, air conditioner in main room, washer & dryer. Kids loved tire swing & Foosball & star gazing . Paper towels, TP & Kleenex provided- bring your own hangers, napkins, plastic wrap, foil, Ziplock bags. I would not rent again.

Family get-together

We stayed here a few years ago, and the kids were very pleased to be back! Lots of room to play! It's a lived-in cabin with a very homey feel. It really was like coming home! We recommend it highly!
