Historic Uptown Cottage - 1 mile to Tulane & Loyola

Renovated light-filled two bedroom historic cottage in a lovely quiet uptown residential neighborhood. New furnishings, bedding, kitchen appliances and supplies. This is your NOLA home away from home. Located three blocks from the St. Charles Avenue Streetcar, five blocks from Freret Street restaurant row, five miles from the French Quarter, and a mile from Tulane and Loyola.
THE SPACE:
The cottage was once the horse stables for a nearby plantation. We lovingly renovated it into a two bedroom apartment in 2017. It's located behind our home, and is accessed through a private gated entrance and an 80 foot long landscaped pathway to the front door. With a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and private entrance, its perfect for long term guests and is kid friendly.

The guest house is equipped with high speed WI-FI internet, washer & dryer, and a well supplied kitchen.

Excellent location-a short walk to the St Charles trolley line in a beautiful neighborhood. The property has been set up to allow guests easy access and complete privacy (the jasmine on the fence smelled wonderful!). We had everything we needed for our stay. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a VRBO with such attention to detail for the comfort of the guests. Jenny was a great host and very responsive. We had such a great time!

Jenny is a great communicator. Her place was a beautiful, comfortable home for our nine day stay with our adult daughter and her partner. It is very close to the streetcar and there are also shops and restaurants within walking distance. It has the perfect combination of access to the city and neighborhood feel.

This is my favorite vacation rental I've ever stayed at! The cottage is so clean, cute, and comfortable. I stayed with my husband and two kids, and we all loved it. It's in such a nice neighborhood and close to so many fun things to do. Everything was functional and well-stocked. The host was fantastic. It felt like a home-away-from-home, and we were sad to leave.

Great Location! Perfect spot to enjoy New Orleans!

We had a wonderful time at this guest house/cottage! It was in a great location, just a short drive to all the best activities and sights New Orleans has to offer. The cottage was stocked with all the essentials and was so cozy. We were sad to leave, but enjoyed our stay very much!

Another great stay! This is my second time staying at this property and it was perfect. Perfect location- easy to get to restaurants, Tulane, and Audubon park. Easy access to the trolley if you want to head downtown. Love this place!

Nice cottage, nice location

The cottage was clean, comfortable, and cute. It's a short walk to the streetcar line and convenient to get all over town, but it's secluded and private. Jenny put together a helpful little guide to nearby restaurants and shops, and that was a nice touch. I'd be glad to stay here again.

This cottage located in Historic Uptown was just perfect for our weekend stay in New Orleans. The cottage was clean, decorated beautifully and had very comfortable beds. It is located on a beautiful street and is walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit NO. Communication with the hosts was excellent.

Delightful property and wonderful hosts!

This is our sixth long-term stay in NOLA and this property and hosts were by far the best. Location is terrific - a lovely mile walk to Audubon Park, St Charles street car is a few blocks away, groceries and restaurants on Freret St were easily accessible. High quality furniture and linens and original art throughout. Jenny and Jeff went out of their ways to make our stay welcoming and comfortable. We hated to leave.

Great location, great home!

Incredibly clean and just as pictured. Worked wonderfully for 2 adults and a toddler. Easy to get around town from the location and the property owners has one of the best guidebooks I’ve ever seen in a location. Will be keeping this place in mind for future trips back to New Orleans!

The best spot

Jenny and Jeff have created a little quiet sanctuary in the most convenient neighborhood uptown. We enjoyed walking to dinner and having access to the streetcar. Parking is easy and accessible on the street. Don’t hesitate to stay in this comfortable and well-designed place.

Perfect spot that did feel like home away from home.

I don't normally stay in NOLA for an entire week but my daughter was getting married and there was a lot to prepare for. I couldn't have asked for a better spot location wise and it was charming and so comfortable. I actually would have been happy to stay and I missed the place when I left! Hope to visit and stay here again.
