This property was dirty from the windows to the bathrooms. no shower just a tub with hand spray. The coffee it is super small and no filters plus can’t even buy filters. Spiral marble stair case up around 75-80 steps just to get to the apt. If you have lots of luggage and difficulty with stairs not good. Was close to train station

Finding the flat is a challenge within the building. It should also be noted that the are 78 steps up a spiral staircase to get to the flat, making it difficult if you have luggage. No checkout instructions were not given.

1st off The apartment was nice and in a great location. The problem was with the host's communication. We booked Vrbo in Rome and Florence and the hosts were excellent The host in Venice sent a email asking to copy everyone's passport a few weeks before Everyone sent a picture of their passport. I paid the city tax. I Emailed the host and asked if there was anything else they needed.They said would send access codes the day if check in. We went to Rome first the emailed wonderful Italy the day before check in. to ask if we could leave our bags at the apartment when we got to Venice till check in. They never answered my question and asked again for copys of passports . We went to the office no one awas there just locker which they never mentioned. My son called them and after 45 minutes got the access codes. The next day I received an email about a data breach. Not real Happy with them.

The appartamento is in a fabulous location, but obtaining the keys is not simple. The appartamento was clean, but with no amenities. Communication was not up to standards.

Beautiful apartment at the end of a street. It was near the train station, water taxi, restaurants and shops. Check in was a little confusing as we had to go to the rental office first, but I had not checked an email I was sent so the check in issues were partly my fault. Very happy with the rental and would highly recommend

The apartment was wonderful. I’m just glad I had my young adult children to help with luggage up and down the spiral staircase. Otherwise the apartment was fabulous. The views were to die for

Overall our stay was perfect for the price, space, and location for our two night stay. The apartment itself is large, beautifully furnished, and has great views. The apartment was clean, and picking up the keys upon arrival was easy and a fairly quick walk that was under ten minutes. Upon checkout you don’t have to walk the keys back which made checking out easy. We really appreciated that the host had everything about the property, including picking up the keys and the check-in and out prices, detailed and clearly organized on PDF documents with pictures. One of our favorite parts about the location was that it was close to the train station and convenient for getting dropped off from the airport. This was also very convenient for traveling with luggage. We also liked that it was close to the Canal Grande - S. Lucia. A perk of being on the top floor was that it felt private, secure, and safe. Since we were visiting in August, even with the air conditioning running it could get quite warm at times; however, for the price and duration of the stay, and considering heat rises, it was not an issue. As we were aware based on prior reviews and the property stating there is no elevator, you must take the stairs up. There are a lot of stairs. Our group is fairly young and physically fit, but we, really the men, definitely got their workout in getting our luggage up and down the stairs. Light switches on walls.I would definitely recommend this beautiful property to others.

Great location but 75 steps up to get to it. I understand that the building is old..that is fine but the twin beds were terrible and there weren’t any curtains in the windows. It felt like we were in a fishbowl.

Having to walk so far to pick up the keys to the home after getting off of a long flight and a long train ride was miserable- we are a family of 6 with backpacks and luggage. Picking up the keys in 1 location and having to walk very far to the home was not a great start. The courtyard getting into the front gate was gorgeous. The spiritual staircase was gorgeous…until you realize that you have to walk all the way to the top floor with all of your luggage! No elevator! Of course this may be common in Europe but it’s still miserable. What appeared to be the “master bedroom” on the main floor had no AC in it. Only the bedrooms upstairs had AC’s- so my husband and I were hot all night long making it difficult to sleep. One of the AC’s went out in one of the kids bedrooms upstairs and maintenance had it back up and running within an hour- excellent service. The bathrooms didn’t have a shower- just a bathtub with a handheld shower nozzle. So you sit in the tub and either take a bath or sit in an empty tub and use the handheld shower nozzle. Again, this may be common in Europe but not what I’m used to in America. We were left plenty of towels for everyone. The view was ok. The refrigerator was dirty and it smelled. All in all, I wouldn’t rent it again strictly due to the staircase but I would recommend it to anyone who didn’t mind

Very spacious - good location

This place is big, and it's super close to the train station which worked very well for us.Check-in required us to pick the keys up at a separate location, which was a little weird for us, but maybe that's a normal thing in Venice.Until we found the light switches, the medieval staircase to the 3rd floor was terrifying - not to mention carrying our baggage up it!We'd stay again, but wouldn't recommend it for everyone. Thank you!

great location

Communication was very good. Instructions for check in were good and the place to pick up keys is close to apartment. The foyer of the building is very dark. It would have been helpful to know there were light switches. There is only hand held shower and no curtain so you have to be seated which may be difficult for some. We loved the charm and homey feel & do recommend this apartment.

Spacious and a great location

The apartment is very spacious and location was close to the trains, canals and transit center. Large kitchen and living room space to fit a larger family or group of friends. Kitchen had dishes/pots/pans/etc, but there are no cooking staples (salt/pepper/oil/coffee/tea/pot holders). Several grocery stores nearby though.

Fantastic location and incredible views from the apartment. More than enough space for two nights with a family of five. Being able to share a bottle of wine on the outdoor terrace was special given how quiet Venice is at night without cars and trucks. Spiral stairs were no joke, but definitely added to the authentic experience (light switches at top and bottom of stairs). It was like stepping back in time. Picking up the keys from a lock box located in a building at Piazzale Roma was not inconvenient if arriving by water taxi or train, it's all within a 5 minute walking radius. Glad we were able to stay there and wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

Great location - extremely convenient to the train station. The apartment has plenty of space and everything we needed for our short stay with our family. The entire property is charming and the kids loved our visit to Venice. The property management firm was extremely helpful and responsive when we left a critical item in the apartment after check out. The property was just right for our needs - we’d definitely stay again.There is a large spiral staircase up to the apartment but our 8 & 10 year olds handled the stairs without issue. For older travelers or families with very young kids be sure to look at the photos of the stairs. Porters seem to be readily available in Venice if you needed help with luggage.

Wonderful but read the fine print

Absolutely gorgeous place for our large family to stay. We all had plenty of space for our quick overnight stay in Venice. The condo was easily accessible from the train station (mind your bags being taken over a bridge). You do need to retrieve a key from a different location than the location of the condo but it is not far. There is a 100 stair spiral staircase to get to the condo door. This was no issue for our group but for those who may have difficulty with stairs or lots of bags, just be mindful. We loved our stay here and everything was clean and comfortable. Lastly, communication with the hosts was easy on WhatsApp. Would stay here again!

Two Days in Venice

We stayed at the property following a week long cruise. It was my husband, 3 kids, and parents. We had a lot of luggage and it was heavy due to it being such a long trip. We had been in Rome before the cruise. All of this to say that we were not prepared for just how many steps and how steep they were to get to the top. I had read reviews that mentioned the stairs, but it was much more than we expected. The off site check in was also not as convenient; especially in a city we had never been to before. The unit itself was very clean and comfortable. It had all of the amenities and space we needed to be comfortable during our visit.

Family stay Venice

We loved it was close to the train station but we have to still go another place to get the key. The apt was nice but we had no elevator [think did say in print - somehow we missed it] and we had ants in the kitchen which we did not eat. The dining room had beautiful windows and loved the sunlight. The small balcony was on the upstairs bedroom [not sure if that was the master or not] and led to the bathroom. Did like the the building was at the end by itself and the inside walk way was interesting, could see the steps that lead to the water.It is very old style which is authentic but forget need little more lighting and A/C. The downstairs bedroom did not have an A/C unit in it. Nice but did not realize about the winding staircase up 3 stories with luggage and little A/C issues; but nice and clean.

Spacious but Underwelming

Overall we rated this place a 3 star and would look elsewhere next time for the following reasons:Cleanliness: 3 star - beds were made, bathrooms were clean, but there were lots of ants in the kitchen. Check in Process: 3 star - you can’t go straight to your rental. First you have to go on a scavenger hunt for the keys, with no human interaction, that are located in P.le Roma, approximately a 10 minute walk from the rental. Accuracy of online listing: 4 stars - pictures were taken in the apartment. It does have single unit A/Cs in 3 of 4 bedrooms, but it was July and extremely hot. Communication: 2 stars - very one sided. The host will blast you with scripted messages that gives all the info you need to check in and out, which was fine. However, when we sent a message saying there were ants in the kitchen and the heaters were on in every room, even though the thermostat was set to cool. The reply we received basically said “Check out is at 10AM, what time will you be leaving?”Location and Neighborhood: 4 stars We loved the neighborhood and location. Lost one star for being on the 4th floor with no elevators for luggage. (78 steps on spiraling staircase with broken handrail)

Stock, man wird mit einem tollen Blick über die Dächer belohnt, sauber, großzügig geschnitten, ausreichend warmes Wasser, Heizung funktioniertNegativ: z.T. schon recht abgewohnt, nur ein Hausschlüssel beeinträchtigt die Tagesplanung, italienische Bettwäsche (nur Laken über Bettdecke, die beim Schlafen verrutschen), 3. Stock über Wendeltreppe erreichbar, ist nicht für jede/n machbar
