Although this property was in a great location for exploring Oslo, there were a few issues we encountered. Before we were able to check in, there were some communication glitches-- the guest portal link was not working, and I got the feeling that some of the communications I received were being generated by AI because there were contradictions between many of the messages. The host was responsive, however, when we had to alert them to a plumbing issue; after we insisted, they did send someone to take care of it later that day. The surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom were clean, but the floor and some of the furniture had not been recently dusted-- there were "dust bunnies" in some corners, and when we placed books, etc. on bedside tables, they scattered dust into the room when we picked them up. Furniture was broken-- a bedroom dresser as well as the living room coffee table-- pictures with broken frames were leaning against a few walls, and curtain rods were also broken. The space itself was beautiful-- tall ceilings, lots of light, and a little balcony off the kitchen-- but the apartment would definitely benefit from an additional chair in the living room and furniture that is not broken, as mentioned. Again, a great location with many shops and restaurants close by, and a wonderful walk along the river into center-city Oslo that we enjoyed doing every day. Just a little more attention to details would have made our stay more comfortable.
