This guest admitted to reading the contract she signed, verbally told me to my face & on the phone "I didn't think it was that big of a deal", meaning she didn't care what the contract said she was going to do what she wanted to do. If the grandfather had fallen and gotten injured and have gotten the hospital bills they probably would have sued us for that too. This is why visitors are not allowed on the property. Nor will they be allowed at a hotel or motel. I contacted VRBO, who suggested terminating the reservation for breach of contract. Clearly the grandfather wasn't there for just 5 minutes because she had made a full meal and a pot of coffee and ended up throwing out the remnants that were in the refrigerator when I was there to kick her out. Nobody was there hovering over the cabin people have privacy from where we live. This woman lied to VRBO that she not able to finish her reservation due to not having access to the property, but she clearly made a meal and everything and had access to the inside of the property and they gave her a full refund that she was not due to start with for violating a contract. This woman is absolutely nothing but pure drama trying to ruin the reputation of good properties. Note to guests follow the contract you signed.

The listing is listed as accomodates 4, as does the rental contract signed twice. A dog was slso brought but not told to owners upon arrival. Family was nice but at first on 2 occasions deceitful. Booking could have been turned down for breach of contract but glad they stayed. Lesson: Read the contract & listing fully. Would welcome them back.

This woman was nothing but a pain from the moment she came on our property. She showed up at 11am for a 4pm check in and fully expected to go in 'her cabin' as she frequently referred to it as. She came back at 4pm and started consuming alcohol in excess. I went down give freshly cleaned pillow cases for the sofa sleeper. She had 2 young men with her who could have both slept easily on the sofa sleeper. Our grill had worked just fine until she showed up. Our previous guests used it. She broke the left knob while only turning it instead of pushing it in for the ignitor. She decided to cook 6 steaks for 3 people in our fully functioning kitchen, setting off our 2 smoke detectors. We surmise she does not frequently cook as she filled our cabin with smoke and had to open the doors. This is a country cabin surrounded by forest. Yes, bugs happen. They happen more when the guest leaves the doors open as she almost burns the property down. We refunded their money to get them to leave. As per our contract, she was not entitled to a dime. In fact, the police should have been called for her drunkenness, and driving while impaired with minors. We had brand new freshly washed out of the package bedding on all of the sleeping areas. The air mattress she referred to was also brand new and she watched the Owner inflate it. She also received brand new in plastic pillows. We have never had such unstable guests and made her leave after her 2.5 hours of drunken complaining. To other property owners: Unless you want your property burned down or slandered, we strongly advise nobody rent their property to these ungrateful guests.

These people were absolutely unreal. We have NEVER had a complaint regarding bed bugs. Furthermore, they were notified upon check in that we get our properties exterminated MONTHLY and it had just been completed. (Probably why they came up with this deal.) These people could have brought them in themselves for all we know, but trying to be nice property owners, we tried to resolve a no-win matter. They wanted a FREE stay, period. We strongly suggest to other property owners not to accept a reservation from these individuals or you see the damage they can do to your listing/property. These people are absolutely hateful from check-in to check-out.

Great guest, welcome back, but anybody who knows anything about sofa sleeper knows they aren't crazy comfy. It's not even 2 years old. It's just a matter of being educated about them.
