Copper Cove at Lough Sillan House is an adults-only cottage for two, made for romantic breaks, anniversaries, birthdays and peaceful escapes in a beautiful lakeside setting.
One of three lovingly restored 200-year-old cottages set around a secluded courtyard in the grounds of historic Lough Sillan House, Copper Cove combines old stone, original character and a cosy wood-burning stove with modern comfort and thoughtful design.
But a stay here is about much more than the cottage itself.
Private time at our lakeside spa is included with your stay, (2 x 75mins for each night booked) with hot tub, sauna, relaxation room, hot shower and direct access to Lough Sillan for a cold dip. You can explore the lake by kayak or paddle board, wander through 9.5 acres of gardens, woodland and lakeshore, or cook and eat outdoors using our covered kitchen, BBQ and pizza oven.
One price. No surprise extras. Your stay includes private spa time, kayaks and paddleboards, breakfast provisions, Prosecco or Nosecco, tea, coffee and treats, towels, robes and toiletries, unlimited firewood for the stove, BBQ gas and pizza-oven pellets.
We personally welcome guests to Lough Sillan House and show you around the cottage, gardens and spa when you arrive. We are nearby if you need anything, while giving you all the privacy you came away to enjoy.
One night makes a wonderful romantic escape. Two nights gives you time to really enjoy it. Many guests tell us afterwards that they wish they had stayed longer once they realise how much there is to enjoy without ever needing to leave the grounds.
Copper Cove is particularly lovely for special occasions, and we can arrange birthday or anniversary extras such as flowers, cake, balloons or banners with advance notice.

We are Sabina and David, and we feel incredibly fortunate to call Lough Sillan House home. Since moving here, we have lovingly restored the old stone cottages and created a peaceful place where guests can slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy the lake, gardens and spa.
We did much of the restoration work ourselves, and every cottage has been designed with comfort, character and a real sense of place in mind.
We also like to host personally. We welcome guests when they arrive, show them around the cottage, gardens and spa, and are nearby if they need anything during their stay — whether that is a local recommendation, extra firewood or a helping hand with the pizza oven.
For us, the best reviews are the ones that say guests felt genuinely welcome, were able to switch off, and left wishing they had stayed a little longer.
