The Poolside Villa is a new suite with your very own private salt water pool (mid May - mid Sept) deck with eating area, bar and gas fire pit sitting area with gazebo. The villa is roughly 1700 sqft with 3 bedrooms ( 1 double bed is off one of the queen bedrooms) and 2 bathroom, sleeps 5 on a quiet street. Enjoy the poolside fountains reading a book or having your morning coffee. Ample parking for your boat. Located a short distance to the beaches/park/ wineries/ Apex Mountain and free boat launch. Amazing friendly area to take an evening stroll or head down to the beach and enjoy the Sunshine Penticton is famous for!

This was our first time staying in a VRBO and itā€™s soooo much better than a hotel room Weā€™re in our 70s and we were challenged with the technology but got great help from our son-in-law . We would to stay again next year

Pool is perfect and everything with backyard is top notch. Basement suite is large and private with 3 beds and 2 bathrooms. It is fairly up the in the hills which makes it hard to bike to and from , you need your vehicle for pretty much everywhere.

A big positive for this property is clearly the outdoor area with the pool. The downside of it is certainly the fact that youā€™re renting a basement with no lights, small bedrooms, especially the small little one and that has been furnished with low quality items. Such as the beds and mattresses. Itā€™s also a bit far from the city center.

Great getaway!

We stayed 3 nights with our granddaughters and had a great time with them in the pool. It is spotless with plenty of towels etc. and close to everything. We would definitely go back.

Great property with beautiful outdoor space!

We loved our stay at this property. The backyard and pool were great and our young teens were in the pool every chance they got! The neighbourhood was great, the house was clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this property and would 100% stay again!

We were in town for the Penticton dragon boat regatta. The place was amazing, the pool and outside area to eat and kick back was outstanding. Would definitely recommend.

Great little getaway

Wonderful stay. Very clean and organized with access to extra towels, linens, etc. the pool was more then expected with a cute little BBQ hut including a TV. The additional sitting area and pool toys was great! Quiet neighbourhood and the owners were very kind and even brought additional propane in case we ran out. Will definitely come back!

Great Backyard Space

The pool and surrounding area are very nice. We spent our entire time there in the backyard. Fantastic pool during the day and an outdoor gas fire place to sit by in the evening. The space is very private and offers a nice shaded spot to eat or play games. The interior space is fine, nothing fancy. We would stay again.

Nice family get away

We met the owners up stairs. Super nice people. We got there 11 at night and had to wake the owners up due the wrong door code. Would have been very nice if the pool was working. Kids were disappointed. But overall very nice trip. Loved the area. Weā€™re thinking about booking again next summer.

Spacious and well equipped

This is a great place to stay for two couples. There are separate bedrooms that each have their own wing and own bathroom. The place is spacious and well equipped and the bonus was having a water and ice maker in the fridge. We did have an issue at times with the gate code (make sure to add a star after the code) but otherwise everything was totally smooth and John quickly responded when we couldnā€™t get in. As it is a basement suite there isnā€™t much natural light but it was so spacious and the ceilings are high so it feels very comfy.

Everything we wanted!

Our stay at this property met our expectations. It was close to restaurants, shopping, beaches, etc. The pool/patio area was breathtaking. Beds were extremely comfortable and private bathrooms and kitchen were clean and fully outfitted. We had a little trouble getting in the locked gate. My recommendation would be to ensure that the code provided includes non-numerical characters, if there are any. We would recommend this property to our family and friends. Thank you John! We had a spectacular vacation!

Great Place

Overall property is clean and upstairs hosts are very friendly. Posting is slightly misleading as it was not clear to me(Maybey I missed it) that the unit is a basement suite, the only windows face a fence so no outside views. We were contacted before our stay to advise the pool might not be available for all the days of our stay but would be offered a discount for days it was not available. Upon arrival it was obvious it was a bigger project then a liner and there was no way the pool would have been ready for any of our days - that was frustrating as it was our primary reason for choosing g this place. Once pool is fixed this is a great property.

Super clean and professionally landscaped basement suite.

The property comprises a two bedroom suite both with full bathrooms. The property is modern, super clean and professionally landscaped. The north east bedroom is a bit dark as it has no windows. The weather was cool while we were there and did not have the opportunity to use the pool. Our stay was marred by a nocturnal banging noise affecting us in the north east bedroom. It kept us awake on at least two of the nights and woke the writer up at 4:00 am on our last night. Initially we thought the noise was something from upstairs but it was random in frequency, intensity and length of time. We suspect that the noise originates from the pool pump which is located outside and adjacent to the bedroom. Donā€™t think that we would rebook the property unless we were 100% sure the nocturnal noise had been resolved. Suite living area contains a large flat screen TV and a leather recliner type love seat, chair and sofa ā€”- all of which seemed to be in as new condition. The owner might consider adding some sports channels to his cable TV.

Pool Side Villa?

When we booked this rental it was not obvious that this was a basement apartment. It also did not say the keypad to check in was on the side of the house and leading to the apartment. The place is very well put together with plenty of space although it would have been nice to have an actual stove top and not a plug-in burner and no dishwasher. The pool side area is very well landscaped . The title of the listing is misleading as we thought we were getting an entire house and relooking at the pictures, it is now obvious it is not. The owners who lives above were very nice.

Great place!!

This property is wonderful. Everything people had mentioned as a downside in the reviews has been addressed, proving the attention to detail by the owner. My only note is that the property listing talks about biking as something that can be done from the property, and yes there are bike lanes everywhere, but the property is located on the top of a very steep hill. Biking back is VERY difficult- especially with kids (yes they have gears on their bikes). Otherwise, everything is wonderful. Privacy was a concern for me when I found out it was a basement suite, but itā€™s a non issue. We felt perfectly comfortable to use the pool and back bbq area. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Amazing back yard vacation

Spent 3 nights with my partner and my two teenage daughters. The inside set up was nice as the bedrooms are on separate sides allowing a lot of privacy. The location is all about the pool area. Amazing pool with lots of sitting space. Shade and sun depending on what you want. Outdoor TV so was able to watch the Blue Jays game!
