Guests will enjoy the comfort of this fully furnished one bedroom daylight basement apartment. The main bedroom has a comfortable queen bed. The large living room has a large TV, and super comfortable trundle bed to sleep 2 more. There is a full size futon as well.The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities. There is a washer/dryer. The highlight is the Spokane River below- Come enjoy the peaceful scenery. There is your own private deck with a view of the river.

It is located on an amazing river spot, with really nice lawns and outdoor spaces. The rental is super clean and functional, with comfortable beds, a good shower, and nice towels. We felt comfortable and at home there. Will stay there again if we need to be in Spokane Valley.

One of the most serene places I've stayed in over 15 years of work related trips! Super comfortable bed, full kitchen and appliances to cook with, even a "welcome" snack basket Very friendly hosts and attentive to the details. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thanks so much!

Beautiful property, loved that the home had a fully stocked kitchen, lots of extra towels, and very cozy. Owners were excellent communicators, and even turned on the outside light when we werenā€™t back before dark (thank you!)Easy to find, quiet location but close to everything we needed!

This has been our favorite VRBO stay to date! The property is clean, comfortable, and situated right on the beautiful Spokane River. We had our coffee on the dock, kayaked in the river, saw eagles, a beaver, geese, and more. Carolyn and Doug were so friendly and helpful-- we couldn't have hoped for better hosts.We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend

Quiet retreat at the Eagles Nest

Perfect and Private

I didnā€™t read the details of it being a daylight basement but it sure didnā€™t feel like one. The hosts were great and accommodating. The daylight had everything we needed and some. Hardly noticed the hosts living upstairs. Beware best for one vehicle. Two if needed can be accommodated. Great serene place to stay.

Peaceful refuge

Amidst the busyness of graduation weekend, it was wonderful to have a quiet place to rest in between activities; sit by the river and listen to the birds. We saw beavers, fish jumping, bald eagles, and were able to take the kyaks out for an evening paddle. Generous provision of amenities (coffee, snacks included) and linens. So appreciated Carolyn's flexibility with our changing plans, including adding a baby to the mix (who enjoyed the toys provided)! This is our 2nd time here and we hope to come back next time we visit our son.

Peace on the river

This was my third stay at Eagles Nest and I loved every minute. Carolyn and Doug are great hosts and all around nice people. I got to see the pair of bald eagles that live in the neighborhood several times during this visit. This is the perfect get away spot if you want peace and quiet and a good location for anything youā€™re doing in the Spokane area.

Another great stay

Spent a week at Eagles Nest and couldnā€™t have been happier. The location is perfect for me for a number of reasons and the setting is beautiful. This was the second time I stayed during the last week of October and Iā€™ll be back again next year, for sure. Carolyn and Doug couldnā€™t be nicer or more accommodating. Lovely people, lovely location!

A restful stay after a long drive!

Carolyn and Doug were friendly and attentive hosts. We felt very welcomed to their lovely property. It was the perfect location for us; easy to find, only a few minutes drive to our Gonzaga student's place, yet in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting by the river in our downtime, and fixing dinner for our son and his girlfriend. Doug made sure the grill was working for us and that we had everything we needed. The apartment itself was cheery and comfortable in every regard, including special welcoming touches. So much better than staying in a hotel!! We hope to visit again.

Cosy riverfront

It was perfect for our family of 3 adults. A bald eagle flew right by us last night! It's a daylight basement so plenty of light, it was very cozy. My husband loved the shower head. The heat is controlled from the upstairs residence but Carolyn cintacted us to make sure we were comfortable. Carolyn came out and met us and was very friendly and helpful.

Relax by the river

The location cannot be beat! Sitting outside listening to the river go by makes the perfect backdrop for relaxing coffee in the morning or a nightcap to end the day.

Enjoyable stay at the Eagle nest

Had an enjoyable stay at the eagle nest this weekend! Property was clean stocked and on the river. Host were very helpful and easy to work with. This is a good place to stay and explore and enjoy Spokane and the Spokane river.

A week on the river

I spent a very relaxing week at Eagles Nest, and will definitely be staying again. The setting is beautiful and Carolyn and Doug couldnā€™t have been nicer. I was alone for the first 6 nights of my stay before my husband and a friend joined me for a couple of nights. I visit the area a couple times a year and always stay at a hotel. This time I was looking for something quiet and more private where I also felt safe, and this was just the ticket. Itā€™s not a hotel experience, but if you want a quiet, private spot with a stunning view of the Spokane river and a comfy bed to unwind and use as your base, this is a winner.

Born and raised in Spokane. This home was built by aunt and uncle. It was one of the first homes on the river. After they passed, I was able to buy the home from the estate and have tried to love on it ever since.

We love this home because we feel like it is our little hidden mecca - so close to everything, yet, once you are here, you feel as though you have gone to some remote area with all the wildlife around, and the beautiful scenery. In the summer months, one can enjoy all the water has to offer- swimming, kayaking, fishing, or just sitting on the dock!
