Estuary View - Secure Parking - Nearby Beach

One of a handful of premium properties within the exclusive Grand Banks development, the first-floor Estuary View has access to an on-site gym and is within easy walking distance of the town's best beaches, shops and restaurants.

Tastefully styled and fabulously equipped with a spacious open plan design and a gorgeous lounge/ kitchen / diner, guests can truly unwind in complete comfort after days of exploring the local attractions and beaches in the area. Large bi-fold doors from the main living space open out to a private balcony where wonderful views over the water and across to neighbouring Shaldon, create the perfect spot for sundowners and fresh-air dining. The property's two stunning bedrooms include a master en-suite with king size bed, and a twin that can be made up as a king size to offer flexibility to suit all guest parties. A separate family bathroom ensures convenience and comfort for all, while underfloor heating throughout means that during the cooler months, the apartment stays warm and toasty.

There are several great beaches within easy walking distance from the apartment's front door including Teignmouth's popular Back Beach which is just a 5-minute walk away. When the tide is low you can walk right round to the main beach where you'll find seaside eateries, ice-cream kiosks, and a public green with go-karts, tennis courts and themed mini golf. The town bursts with restaurants, cafes and shops making it perfect for enjoying the Devon weather. Nearby, the South West Coast Path offers a scenic coastal trail along the sea wall, while the rugged landscape of Dartmoor National Park can be reached within 30 minutes by car.

A seasonal ferry from Back Beach hops over to Shaldon which is a lovely day out, while the larger town of Torquay, which is just 15-minute drive away, is where you'll find the beautiful Cockington Country Park, Torre Abbey and Babbacombe Cliff railway.

Lovely estuary apartment

We enjoyed our stay at grand banks estuary view. The apartment was excellent. We enjoyed the location being close and walkable to both Teignmouth and Shaldon. Not quite as much of an estuary view as we had anticipated from the name of the apartment and description however still a fabulous place to stay. There is quite a lot of train noise but that’s not too much of an issue. We would both recommend this holiday apartment and stay again.

Trip to Teignmouth

We had a lovely stay in Teignmouth and visited Sheldon, Dawlish, Powderham Castle and Canonteign Falls. The apartment was very nice it's just a bit of a shame about the view which is of the port buildings mostly however you do get used to them. The trains can be noisy if you are watching TV with the doors open however again that didn't bother me too much. Also make sure you buy Nespresso Vertuo coffee pods as we bought the normal ones and found we couldn't use them and then couldn't find anywhere that sold them. The website just says Nespresso coffee machine and does not say what type of machine it is. Overall we had a lovely stay.

Weekend away in Estuary View

We enjoyed our stay in Estuary View, location was very good, easy access to the town centre. Bit of a climb back from town so not good for the less mobile.

Our Teignmouth holiday

The apartment is in a position easy for walking to the town, back beach and railway station. We liked the parking as it was underground.

Estuary View

The property was better than expected, lovely views, comfortable apartment and all the basics and more were supplied. Highly recommend . Local town and transport links are only a short walk away.

Great apartment but not such a good view

Really enjoyed our stay in this modern and well equipped apartment. It had the bonus of secure parking and car charging (even though it took a while to set up to charge). We stayed during one of the hottest spells so far this year, so we were pleased that the evenings in particular were cooler on the large and well furnished balcony. This was only spoilt by the view (we were aware it might be somewhat limited) where there was only a glimpse of the estuary between the APB buildings. There was good walking access to the town and, in the other direction, to Shaldon, which my wife managed, in spite of not being comfortably mobile. We did not use our car during our stay as the station is also in easy walking distance giving access to well known areas of interest. The trains below did not disturb our sleep with the doors shut. If we were to return we would hope to be able to book a higher apartment with better views.

Week in Teignmouth

We had an excellent week, the apartment was just what we wanted as we had our 90 year old father with us who’s not very mobile.,which was accessible for him all being on one level-plus a lift. Had a problem with the bedroom…wanted two single beds instead of a double, so called the number which we was given and the problem was rectified very promptly. We weren’t bothered about the view,and the trains ! But could bother some people if not aware. The only problem we found is how to turn the temperature down on heating system no instructions in manual, so got very warm in bedrooms did try to turn it down, but wasn’t sure we were doing it properly so left it .

Style over substance

It was clear from photos view was not perfect, so we knew what to expect from that point of view. What we did not expect was to find no information about the accommodation in the flat. This was eventually emailed to us 48 hours after our arrival, Instructions on how we could access car park were clear, unfortunately we had to find somebody in another flat to show us how to get out! Information about appliances was non existent and I had to resort to Google Lens to download the instructions. Beds and furniture were comfortable, but so many essentials were missing, bread bin, cups and saucers, milk jug, tea tray and hairdryer to name a few. All things you would find in much more basic holiday rentals. The availability of a gym is also mentioned, but again no information on where it is or how to access it. It's difficult to answer yes or no as to whether we would recommend or not, everyone has difficult expectations.
