House sleeps 6, with 3 roomy, light filled bedrooms, 2 tile/marble baths, brand new high end kitchen, and open LR/DR great room – all with a chill, mid-century-modern vibe.

Two sets of 10 ft sliding glass doors create spectacular backyard views and open up to a sun drenched 20x30 foot mahogany deck that’s great for dinner parties, or watching the kids play in the pool / backyard while you sip a cocktail. Luxurious heated gunite pool, spacious outdoor shower and shaded hammock encompass a beautifully landscaped and fenced in yard.

House comes with AC, fully outfitted kitchen, Weber gas grill, highspeed broadband wireless, 55 inch smart TV, spacious and private outdoor shower, and much, much more. 1 WK MINIMUM RENTAL IN SEASON (M-M or Fri-Fri), Occasional 4 day M-F rentals avail.

Direct rental agreement execution is required to ensure local ordinances are clearly understood / followed. Pool heater costs are responsibility of Tenant.

Restaurants, antiquing, wineries, hiking, biking, paddle-boarding, kayaking, tennis, golf and of course the beach are all yours to be had at this special gem in the genteel part of the Hamptons.

Perfect Shelter Getaway

We had a family wedding on the island and this house was perfect for us. It’s cozy, the backyard is beautiful and was ideal for an active toddler. The location is great- quick walk or drive to town and the iconic sunset beach. Susan was an amazing host who went above and beyond for us our entire stay. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking to check out shelter island

Vacation on Shelter Island

Had a nice vacation at Susan's house on shelter Island. The pool and back deck were the best features of the house and that is where we spent much of our time. Kitchen was spacious and fully equipped. Susan was very responsive and dealt with any issues that arose quickly and efficiently.

Perfect Getaway

First of all, Susan is an incredible host - friendly, helpful, uber responsive, welcoming, informative - everything you could want in a host. The house is super cute, charming and welcoming as well - perfect location to do everything you want on SI. The backyard is amazing - beautifully kept, wonderful vibe and the pool is magnificent - my family and I were in it probably 5+ hours a day . . . Wonderful house, wonderful host, wonderful stay - couldn't say anymore!

Susan’s home was wonderful and incredibly relaxing. The fam loved swimming in the pool and lounging.

Susan provided meticulous instructions on everything from check-in to check-out and was constantly available for any questions. When my young daughter left a stuffed animal, Susan was kind enough to find it and FedEx it back to us.

Perfect Holiday Retreat

We spent nearly two weeks at the end of the summer at this lovely home. The pool, deck and backyard were amazing -- larger than we expected. The home itself is nicely done, with plenty of room for 6 of us. It's conveniently located near Sunset Beach (about a 10-15 walk) if you're into that, but we loved barbecuing in the backyard so much we barely made it down there. We had a couple of questions during our stay and the owner responded immediately with all the info... we will definitely be back. Highly recommend staying here!

a lovely late summer retreat

My husband and I and our two little dogs spent a week at Susan's home and it was just what we needed. The house is fully stocked, the backyard is massive (and closed in for the pups to run wild) and the location is close to the shops and restaurants and in walking distance to beautiful sunset beach where we enjoyed champagne while we watched the sun go down on several evenings. Easy ferry to either Greenport or Sag Harbor for day trips. The owner was very accommodating prior to our stay and in fact when we had a hot water issue (likely due to the house not being used for a couple weeks) she had it fixed the very next day. We really had a lovely time!

Family friendly relaxation

What an amazing introduction to Shelter Island! This home is in an ideal location --- easy drive to town, sunset beach (could walk!), local golf course, ice cream, grocery store and great seafood! The owner, Susan, is beyond pleasurable to deal with. Extremely responsive and helpful. Plenty of interior room for our family, but the outside space made our stay. Beautiful split level deck and stunning pool lead to an expansive fenced in back yard. Our dog and two young children loved every bit of it!

Great time in Shelter Island!

My wife and I stayed at Susan's house with some friends while attending a wedding in Shelter Island. We enjoyed the house, which was conveniently located for enjoying the island. The house and property are clean, well maintained, comfortable and as advertised. Great Family Vacation Home

We had a lovely weekend here. Because the weather was so nice, we spent most of our time outside. Most of our meals were enjoyed on the deck, but the house is actually located very close to shops and restaurants. Our kids really enjoyed the expansive yard and the pool. The house is also very comfortable with nice bathrooms and kitchen.

Perfect getaway

Just got back from this property and it is a perfect getaway! All the amenities of home but with much, much more. The house is wonderfully decorated and has a warm, cozy feeling but everything electronic you need for a modern day experience. Great backyard with a pool and an outdoor shower I wish it had been warm enough to try! Very impressed with the large and fabulous deck. Had a question during the stay and Susan, the owner, was very responsive. This place is conveniently located near several great cafes and markets (we mostly did our own cooking in the sit-in kitchen). Every day we took a walk to and along the beach (the house is just a few blocks from Sunset Beach hotel)! We had such a relaxing time we now say when we get city-stressed - 'oh, I wish I was back on Shelter'. Enjoy!

Shelter Island is by far my favorite part of the Hamptons. I found this little gem of a house 15 years ago and have been meticulously renovating and upgrading it ever since. My favorite part is the expansive backyard, with its full fusion of colors in bloom all season, and its soft summer breezes. Its centerpiece is the heated gunite pool, graced by the gentle arc of a 100+ year old black cherry tree -- all viewable from the elevated deck. A long time renter myself, I pride myself on the details, and in anticipating your every needs -- ensuring the house is stocked accordingly -- so that you can relax and enjoy your stay without a care in the world.
