The Sierra Trapera resort is located in the town of Valsequillo, a village 106 km from the city of Córdoba, situated in the northern part of the Guadiato Valley region. It consists of 10 fully equipped apartments where you can enjoy a unique experience in an unparalleled setting.
Just a few meters from the resort, with quick and easy access on foot, is the “La Piscina” Municipal Leisure, Sports, and Health Complex, where you can take a refreshing dip in the summer.
The apartment features Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and stunning views, and is fully equipped:

The journey begins in the heart of the village, at Plaza de la Democracia, where we set off on a trail that takes us across the Fuente de la Plazuela stream via a charming granite bridge. Along the way, we pass through open fields, old pasture enclosures, olive groves, and vegetable gardens with wells that still feature their traditional waterwheels.

Following the Monterrubio lava flow, the trail leads us to the Puerto de La Cinta, a natural pass at an elevation of 652 meters that separates the Sierra de la Cinta and the Sierra Trapera. In winter, seasonal pools, such as Laguna Ramos, become home to various waterfowl, adding a touch of wildlife to the route.

The route takes us past the chapel of Nuestra Señora de Fátima, an iconic site where the town celebrates its traditional pilgrimage every second Sunday in May. Before arriving, we cross the historic Córdoba-Almorchón railroad line and the legendary Venta del Contrabandista, evoking stories of the old Almorchón trail or the Smugglers’ Trail.
