What a wonderful place to stay to relax and recharge! The house is so cozy and clean. The farm and horses were a delight. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway! Stephanie was an excellent host!

This place and experience exceeded all expectations. It was magical being there in Autumn. We just loved it and would definitely try and stay there again if we’re ever up that way again. I wish that we were able to stay longer. The host was fantastic and did a great job making us feel at home. Check in was very easy and she left simple instructions for check out. (Sorry it has taken awhile for us to write a review).

This place I would return to in a heart beat. You can tell this isn’t just a vrbo spot, this is a generational treasure in this little home. There was love in every corner and we’re so lucky to have gotten a weekend here

My mom, sister and I stayed here for a leaf-peeping/Gilmore Girls trip in the fall. This property could not have been a more perfect place to relax, have slow mornings with coffee and come home to after a day of sightseeing. Location was perfect - a feeling of "off the grid" but actually quite close to many shops & restaurants, and well situated for day trips to other small towns. The home itself was cozy, incredibly well-appointed, and had all the amenities we could have needed. The surrounding farm property was incredibly beautiful and peaceful. The photos do not do any of it justice! And we absolutely loved getting to meet some of the horses and the pig :). Stephanie was a wonderful host as well & we will absolutely stay here again.

Very pretty country setting with awesome views and horses to watch. Close to lots of good places to eat and cool little shops.

Beautiful cottage. Larger than it appears in the photos. Wish it wasn't so rainy so that the horses would have been out more.

The property was amazing. It was quintessential Connecticut, everything you can ask for. It offers an experience that most people might never get, with the chance to look out the kitchen window and see horses kn your back yard, your a working show horse barn and stay in a house that’s older than our country.the house was staged and decorated amazingly, it was bigger than expected, and even had a washer and dryer. You literally couldn’t ask for more, everything was there. It’s close to anything you could want, including a cute little local theme park. There are shops and restaurants near by, an antiques market down the road on the weekends. It honestly doesn’t get much better than this. We can came back to Connecticut for a death in the family, and Stephanie gave our family a place to be together and heal. We will absolutely be back as our regular place where we frequent home again. Thanks for everything, I look forward to coming back!

Thank you for such a lovely review. I am so glad you enjoyed the property and the area. It's a gem in my book. But to have others so appreciate the landscape and that lovely old house is what makes it all worth while!

Gorgeous setting and peaceful stay! The house was well appointed with everything we needed and the grounds were gorgeous. We loved looking out on the farm in the evenings.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse. The house is cozy and perfect for a family stay. This was our second visit and we enjoyed every minute of being at the house.

Perfect farm house setting

We had a wonderful stay, everything was clean and comfortable. The farm animals were great to see while we were there. Would definitely recommend this wonderful location.

This is a beautiful location to stay, especially in the fall. It’s nice and quiet. The house is decorated adorably. The bathroom and kitchen were nicely stocked with items you would need for a week long stay. Extra blankets, pillows, and towels. Great for a family of four.

This stay was outstanding in every way. The property is a restored cape that is tastefully decorated and located in a picturesque area of Connecticut. We had plenty of space for 4 of us, with access to all the places we needed to visit. Our host, Stephanie, was easy to communicate with. I woulddefinitely stay here again.

Perfect New England Getaway

Would definitely stay again. The house was perfect and felt like I was back in time in New England. And if you're animal lovers, you'll love it here with the roaming pigs and beautiful horses.

Quiet and Peaceful

Loved the charm of the home. Loved the tranquility and beauty gifted to us in this property. One of my favorite little details in the home was the visitor's book!! Would love to visit again.

Adorable historic home very cozy

We absolutely loved this property. The house was historic and cozy and adorable filled with beautiful little antiques. The table was set beautifully when we walked in. We loved staying here. The extra bonus was being able to see the horses over our morning coffee.
