Your private, spacious farmhouse at Wildwood is less than 2 hours from DC and northern Virginia, less than 6 hours from NYC. 5 bedrooms, 3 and a half baths, on three stories, room for your entire tribe. FAST fiber optic internet with multiple work spaces and views! Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Mountains are close by, for peaceful hikes, relaxing drives, and spectacular sunsets. Staying a week? Pay for 4 nights, 3 are free!

Wildwood lies at the junction of history and hospitality in the Madison Barbour Historic District, a half-hour drive each to the University of Virginia or Woodberry Forest School. Barboursville Vineyards is ten minutes away.

Imagine a spacious, well-equipped kitchen and dining room, plus outdoor deck dining and grill space, to allow you and those you love to relax and celebrate together indoors and out on this working family farm. We loved the kitchen with all the needed equipment to make several "gourmet" meals. The house was clean and very welcoming. We very much enjoyed the quiet and serene surroundings. Hiking the trail was fun and a great opportunity to explore the rustic area. The hosts were incredibly responsive to all our questions, before and during our stay!!

Beautiful home with amazing countryside views that fill you with peace as you sit on the back porch. We saw lots of deer and a cute gopher/groundhog. The home is well equipped for whatever you might need plus extra items added for comfort. Perfect spot for an autumn getaway!

Grounds were spectacular, interior of house were absolutely lovely with well documented accessories posted. On a scale of 1-10 this amazing farm house was a 12! We all want to come back again as a group of eight!

Peaceful

The farmhouse and surrounding land was peaceful and gorgeous. We were there for a family wedding in nearby Somerset. We had plenty of room for all the cooks in the kitchen and enjoyed the views from every window and porch! We even saw the northern lights one night!

Beautiful Home and Property

Wildwood is even better than it looks in the pictures. The house is spacious with tall ceilings. Virginia, Robert, and Stella have anticipated everything a guest may need. We were all very comfortable! The grounds were just as lovely with many flowers in bloom. We stayed for UVA graduation and our only regret is that we didn't have enough time to fully enjoy Wildwood.

Beautiful autumn weekend

This quiet and very well decorated farmhouse is in the lovely orange county. We stayed there during the recent steeplechase race. It would be a perfect venue for wedding functions and trips to Vineyard. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful wine country retreat

Beautiful wine country retreat In the Rollinghills of orange county Virginia. We visited steeplechase very convenient location and a lovely property both inside and out. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. We had no problems during our stay. I would highly recommend this property

Engagement weekend

Our family traveled to Virginia to celebrate the surprise engagement of our son. The Wildwood Farm home was absolutely perfect for our 4 generation family of 7, plenty of space and just a beautiful location. The hosts were very accommodating and accessible if we needed anything. We highly recommend Wildwood Farm.

Weekend getaway with daughters and friends

While Ian brought constant rain throughout the weekend, we really didn’t mind. The home was spacious, comfortable, well-appointed and charming. And the surrounding land was gorgeous, quiet and private. We routinely saw deer running through the fields. We found ourselves primarily gathering in the kitchen and the family room - a separate wing of the home with vaulted ceilings and a large fireplace - just beautiful. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Really all in all a great experience!

wonderful girl’s celebration weekend at Wildwood.

We had a great weekend in a spacious country house in Barboursville. We visited nearby wineries and there were many more things to do if we had the time. We ended up spending more time in Charlottesville, which was about 30 minutes away, but it was a fun windy drive to get there.

Great getaway!

Great time in Virginia for a bachelorette

A group of us booked this home for a bachelorette weekend in Virginia. The property is remote, but absolutely gorgeous. We loved the layout of the house, the beautiful views, big kitchen, and big windows. The home was comfortable, clean, and well stocked with basics like towels, toilet paper, etc. The owners were very informative and responsive to our questions. The WiFi was great too as we were worried about cell reception. The area was lovely and we took a great winery tour, had a private chef cook us dinner at the house, and went out to downtown Charlottesville which was only about 30 minutes away. It was a perfect escape and I would love to go back to unwind. Thank you to the whole family!

Winery Weekend at Wildwood

Excellent property! All rooms are larger than photographed. A large group of us reunited at the farmhouse and were well accommodated in the house. The layout of the home provided options for where we could gather together AND quietly get away. Although remote, it was perfect for visiting the nearby wineries.
