There are places you don't just visit… you experience them. La Pluma y el Pincel is one of those places where time stands still, where every detail is designed so that you and your loved ones can truly relax.
This resort takes its name from two of Cuerva’s greatest inspirations:
* La Pluma, after the poet Garcilaso de la Vega, lord of these lands, whose words continue to resonate centuries later.
* El Pincel, after Luis Tristán, a disciple of El Greco and the creator of the impressive Last Supper, which is still preserved today in the town’s church.
That is why each little house has its own identity:
* Casa Garcilaso, warm and inviting, designed for lovers of literature and tranquility.
* Casa Tristán, with an artistic soul, made for those who know how to enjoy silence and the little details.
These are two separate homes, ideal for two families with children who want to spend a few days together while maintaining their privacy. Each house has its own kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedrooms, as well as touches that make all the difference: a solid-wood table with Provençal-style benches made just five minutes from here, a display cabinet with traditional tableware, and a towel warmer in the bathroom to wrap you in warmth when you step out of the shower in winter.
The shared patio is the perfect gathering spot: wicker sofas for chatting, relaxing, or reading a book while the kids take a dip in the inflatable pool and play in complete safety. Here, time passes slowly, and you enjoy life in a different way.
The area also has a lot to offer:
Cuerva is nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by the Montes de Toledo. Look up and you’ll see huge colonies of vultures soaring through the sky—a breathtaking sight. On nearby trails, you might come across foxes, roe deer, ferrets, and even the elusive Iberian lynx, a protected species that inhabits these mountains. All of this is set against the classic La Mancha landscape: wheat and barley fields dotted with holm oaks and olive trees.
And, of course, the local cuisine is part of the experience. A five-minute walk away, you’ll find a traditional churrería, where the owner prepares irresistible churros every morning. There are two bakeries offering breads and pastries typical of the area—such as those flavored with anise, lard, or olive oil—that smell like childhood. And if you like seafood, you’re in for a treat: in Cuerva there are two top-rated restaurants, La Cala and La Lonja, serving fresh, high-quality seafood at surprisingly affordable prices, as well as traditional dishes like marinated venison or garlic-roasted rabbit.
Plus, in 25 minutes you’ll be at the Puy du Fou theme park—a spectacular experience for the whole family—and in 30 minutes you can lose yourself in the streets of Toledo, a World Heritage Site, with its history, culture, and cuisine.
La Pluma y el Pincel is more than just a place to stay: it’s a place to relax, laugh, explore, and create beautiful memories. Whether you want to unwind by the pool, explore nature, immerse yourself in history, or simply enjoy a quiet evening while the kids sleep… everything here is designed with you in mind.
