Your tranquil vacation awaits you in this cheerful, updated, and spacious two-family house on a canal. Located in the lovely Fort Myers Whiskey Creek-McGregor neighborhood. Your rental features a private entrance, three bedrooms/two bathrooms. Master bedroom: bathroom with shower/ hall bath: tub/shower. Open floor plan: fireplace in the living room, kitchen and dining area: Florida Room has access to outdoors. Canal features dock. Two sets of outdoor seating; one by canal. Property has big front and side yards, lush Florida plants. Backyard is fenced. This attractive house is in the ideal Ft. Myers area near College Parkway, McGregor Ave./ Winkler Road/ Cape Coral Bridge. Close to Publix and Wal-mart food markets, Bell Tower Shopping Ctr, Barbara Mann Performing Arts Center/FSW College, The Alliance Art Center, downtown, Ford/Edison Estates, Ft Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva Islands, and much more!
Note: Guests use front entrance and driveway. Owner has an attached casita with separate entrance and parking on side of home. There is total privacy for both occupants.

Paradise in Ft Myers

We loved this house. It was beautifully and colorfully decorated, roomy and well-stocked, even with things you may have left at home. The location is great - near beautiful McGregor Blvd - and the neighborhood is safe and beautiful. The dock on the canal is a great place to relax. Finally, hosts Roberta and David were amazing. Roberta welcomed us right away and gave us great info on local places of interest, and David took care of any little issue right away. Best hosts ever. We are very glad we chose this house and hope to return.

Excellent Experience

Just spent 3/30 through 4/6 at this location. Lovely home, very clean, nicely decorated, located in a very quiet neighborhood but is close to all highways to make traveling very easy. Would highly recommend this property!

Quiet - peaceful

Nice quiet neighborhood and owners very helpful. Room layouts a bit different than the pictures - double, double, and single (pictures show 2 singles in one room). Two couches so plenty of room. We didn't stay inside much and moved from activities each day but found the location to be close to everything.

Beautiful home. Great location for us near family. Host and hostess very friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay at this location and it was located in a quiet area. It was close to shopping and great dining. Our family was staying in the area and we were 20 minutes from Ft Myers Beach. The host family was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Chased lizards out three times. Door sealing would help.

Property was very spacious, the hosts were very nice. Some updating (like the kitchen sink) is needed. I wish the hosts good luck!!

Good location and spacious home.

We enjoyed our stay in Ft Myers and it was a great place to catch up on some rest or just go around sightseeing. The home has a nice kitchen with dishwasher if you like to cook and lots of space and bedrooms with clean bedding and towels provided. All appliances were working well including the washer and dryer. Central AC worked well. Wifi worked well also. If we needed anything the hosts were available and willing to provide any kitchen gadget. The home had nice paintings and pottery accents that added to the Florida feel. Penny our dog was comfortable also. It was a family-friendly atmosphere and neighborhood with so much to do around Ft Myers with cultural entertainment, restaurants, churches and events. David and Roberta were gracious and respectful hosts and we would stay there again. They could answer any questions on things to do around town. Thank you David and Roberta for sharing your waterfront home with us and a great vacation.

We're Roberta and David Stein, the Ione Drive property owners. We want to welcome you to our relaxing, colorful vacation home. We are people loving types originally from NYC and San Jose, California, respectfully. We love pets, including our little black cat, Tuli. Roberta loves the fine arts ( Dale Chihuly glass in Naples, FL), performing arts (especially theater and dance),decorating, and books. David is into home remodeling, landscaping, pottery design, international news, and tennis.

We started coming to Ft. Myers many years ago when Roberta's dad retired here. We got the house in 2010, and feel lucky to be in the best section of the city. To make your stay as restful and entertaining as possible, we have tried to put nearly everything you could want at your fingertips! We enjoy people from all walks of life, and we are here to answer any and all questions. We have made our place cheerful and homey, with Florida colors and fun details. This home offers lush tropical grounds and peaceful yard and canal, which make time melt away.

We hope you will enjoy lounging outside, feeding the turtles in the canal

We love this property for its mature trees on a cul-de-sac. Our neighbors are super friendly, yet there is lots of privacy here. A huge perk is our central location. Drive a few blocks and you're in the Publix grocery lot. Drive a little more and you will see upscale shopping like Bell Tower Center, Barbara Mann Performing Arts Center, Lee County Alliance for the Arts, Ft. Myers Beach, and much more. We can't forget: SANIBEL and CAPTIVA ISLANDS!
