Rustic luxury deep in the heart of Texas

Originally I'm from New Zealand but I have now resided in Texas for 29 years. Married to Kevin and Mum to 4 grown children, we live on 240 acres of beautiful central Texas land that has been in the family since 1888.
I have been an RN for over 35yrs and have for the last 17 yrs worked locally as a School Nurse. I love to cook or be outside gardening and looking after the many animals on the property. Recently we have become Apiarists and currently have 10 working bee hives.

This land has been in my husbands family since 1888 and we built our forever home here in 2007. We were both raised on the land and love being outdoors and have a wonderful assortment of animals and pets.
Kevin is an avid potter and woodworker and enjoys creating and building.

Gourmet breakfasts or romantic baskets are an option, delivered to the cottage via picnic basket for an additional fee. Please contact host for further info if interested. Wellspring Cottage is located on a working ranch, and should guests be interested there is opportunity for interaction with the miniature goats and cows, while hosts are present. Access to the cottage is still under construction and parking may be off site at times, however there is a golf cart for guest use to transport luggage and get around the property.
There is a large one acre pond a short walk from the cottage that has a cookhouse and fire pit for picnics if so desired. There is also a two person kayak available for guest use, but no life jackets are supplied. Swimming and fishing from the dock is permitted, the tank is well stocked with bass, catfish, perch and some crappie, on a catch and release basis. Bring your own fishing poles or contact host if you need supplies.
