Mountainside Resort has issued a do-not-drink water mandate due to high PFAS levels. Water is also available at the Mountainside office and pool area. Additionally, the owner has provided drinkable water in the unit. Water should only be used in instances where it is not being consumed.

Ideal for your next ski-cation with the whole family, this Vermont getaway near Stowe Mountain offers comfortable living spaces, an updated kitchen, a furnished balcony, and room for up to seven guests. This vacation rental is also close to restaurants, breweries, and, of course, the slopes at both Stowe Mountain and Bolton Valley.

Take a walk to some of the area's famous restaurants, taprooms, and breweries including Alchemist, the Idletyme Brewing Company, Stowe Cider, and The Blue Donkey for fantastic BBQ! During the winter months, hop on the free mountain shuttle for quick and easy trips through town or up to Stowe Mountain for Nordic and downhill skiing. Alternatively, enjoy a scenic, 23-mile trip southwest to Richmond and the Bolton Valley Ski Area for 300 more acres of trails and glades. Don't forget to treat the kids to fun at a nearby playground!

Back at your home away from home, you can chill out and post updates online thanks to the free WiFi, settle back by the glow of your gas fireplace and watch a few shows or movies on the flatscreen, cable TV, or relax and enjoy the view outside on your private, furnished balcony. Ski shuttle details: Property is located on the seasonal free mountain shuttle route with stops within the resort. The shuttle runs the whole winter ski season. You can go to Stowe Mountain Resort.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but this definitely warrants one. I asked specifically for a WC accessible unit. The unit wasn’t even close to that. There were three steps to get into the building. The bathrooms were very dated and no where close to accessible. I called three times and was told each time a manager would be in touch. Never heard back. We were able to find a construction sign to use for a ramp and a table on the deck to use in the shower. We were offered a discount so hopefully that will happen! The other major complaint was that we found out you can’t drink the water at Mountainside. Big red flag ! Thin walls so could hear neighbors late at night. Had to sleep with my headphones on. Positives were, clean, comfortable bed, nice kitchen and living area and close to town .

Condo was clean, easy to access, functional, no frills, older condo that needs updating and things fixed, sliding doors don’t work, windows in bedrooms hard to open/close, deck in need of cleaning, kitchen accessories disorganized/chopped/not clean, cramped quarters for the bunk room for 4 adult children, and rickety/squeaky beds.The main issue we had was the “don’t drink or use the water for cooking” issue that we didn’t it know about until we got there. No water was easily accessible, no containers to fill water were provided, we had to purchase jugs of water and then refilled them. This issue seems to have been going on for a while, at least since the spring and it was not shared until we arrived, very challenging to not be able to drink/use water to cook, brush teeth, drink.

No water at property

No drinking water in the property. Only water is at the office or the pool which are closed at night. Check in was poor because I never got the check in email with key box code. Tenants below us screamed all night, no sound insulation between the floors. AC is ancient and loud.

No drinking water

Listing said drinking water provided in the unit which wasn’t true. Listing said get water from the office or the pool…well both are closed at night. Units have ancient and loud AC units. I had to call twice to get the code to the lockbox to open the unit. Hot tub needs replaced.

Comfortable in a perfect locatiom

This is our second stay in a unit in this complex, and we prefer this unit over the other. Excellent location to pool (tho getting the door code was an issue) and being a 2nd floor unit, there were few steps.The waternissuenwas a bit annoying.

Fine Property, Some Serious Issues

Property itself is completely fine, but upon arrival we found a sign saying that the water is unusable for cooking and drinking. Every time we needed water we had to walk outside to the pool building to use a water jug. The fireplace advertised in the listing was broken, and the code to the pool/hot tub area listed here was incorrect and when I tried to call the help line the woman was wholly unhelpful and very rude. I’ve spent the last two weeks seeking a refund on our stay because of the various issues and after no help from the customer service team for those two weeks, we were given a refund I would not consider close to adequate. As I said, the place itself was fine but the listing is misleading and there are issues with the property. The location was great and if you are part human/part camel (don’t need water) you should be fine to stay here.

Great Condo / Poor Communication

The condo was as-advertised. Great location, clean, functional. I didn’t want to give an overall bad review because the condo owners have a nice place. Some things were a bit older and could use an update, but it was an overall good space. As other reviewers said, the back rooms are hot, even in milder summer temperatures, because the AC doesn’t reach them well. We could walk or drive easily to many things, and the kids loved the pool and nearby swings. Communication with Vacasa, however, was bad. We got the code to get in OK, but everything else was an issue. They had posted a letter in tiny print on the door, half covered by a wreath, that said we shouldn’t drink the water or use it to brush our teeth. No other notes about the water were anywhere in the house, and no large receptacles were left for us to collect the water that the resort gave out by the pool via water coolers. We had to go buy bottled water and keep returning to fill up our bottles so that we could brush our teeth and have drinking water. There also weren’t any welcome packets on how to use anything but wireless in the condo. We didn’t know how to access the pool and called Vacasa. They were nice but clueless and disconnected to the property. They gave us wrong info, which kept us from using the pool until we did more research on our own. With other rentals, you are able to talk to actual people who know the property if you have questions or issues. I recommend the condo but not Vacasa.

No drinkable water available and no response from management company to help

No potable water. We were told we could come get water at business office or the pool area. Business office was closed. Pool site RAN OUT OF WATER. Tried communicating to Vasca the management company who just responded with computer generated messages. No water was ever provided to us. Completely unacceptable in every way. Tennis courts are unplayable- they have huge cracks and weeds growing out of them.

Great stay

Very clean home. Comfortable mattress (memory foam). Easy in and out to the unit even with clunky ski boots on. The pool is heated and just across the parking lot. They provided some extras like laundry soap for the in-home washer dryer. Easy check in and check out with no surprises. The gas fireplace is also a great touch. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean condo just missing the fireplace

We had a great long weekend trip to Stowe. Was excited to see some snow in the forecast and be able to sit by the fireplace but when we checked in there was a red note taped to the fireplace saying “leaking gas valve”. Obviously we didn’t try to use it and reached immediately out to Vacasa for an update. They didn’t have one and said they would get back to us. Two days in to our trip I asked again if the fireplace would be fixed during our stay and they said no, offering a very small refund for our inconvenience. They also made note to say they do inspections prior to a visitors check in but clearly that didn’t happen in this instance. It was very disappointing to not be able to use this amenity during our stay as it is a winter time rental and something we looked for when booking our weekend vacation. The condo was very clean and fully stocked outside of the fireplace issue we had a nice time.

Cute little condo with mountain views

This condo was perfect for our family of 6! Our kids loved the bunk room and the bed in the master suite was super comfortable. Great views of the mountains, across the parking lot from the pool, close to town, walk to the Alchemist brewery. Plenty of seating at kitchen table and on large comfy couch. Plenty of extra blankets and towels. Only complaint was that there weren’t any coffee filters and WiFi signal was weak, but those were very minor issues.

Clean, comfortable, great mountain views, close to the bike path. The nearby Alchemist Brewery was really fun. Had a very nice time. Hard to leave!!

Lovely Condo but Management Issues

First, the condo itself was really nice, well appointed, clean and nicely located. But we had an issue with the promised Internet, which was very weak and intermittent. When help was contacted, direct questions were not answered and no solution was offered. Eventually some financial compensation was offered. It turns out that we were not interacting with the owner or the local resort that the condo was part of, but a 3rd party management corporation. This was much less satisfactory than our previous experiences with similar condos that were managed by the resort. A couple of other minor issues also resulted in a similar lack of response. We would not knowingly rent from this management group again.

Great location but condo needs some, love updating and maintenance.

First impressions were disappointing. Many items need repair, the air conditioner does not cool the bedrooms even using multiple fans. Blinds and other items need repair. Beds and sofas were comfortable. Kitchen is adequately stocked except there were no dish towels. Washer and dryer in unit is a plus!!!

Had 6 friends stay for a ski weekend and had a great time! Walkable to The Alchemist brewery and other bars and restaurants too. Had some trouble with the hot water but I’m pretty sure it was user error lol
