Central to everything in Sedalia. Less than a mile from downtown historic Sedalia. Wonderfully spacious 100-year-old home in older neighborhood. Walking distance to Katy Trail, Downtown Sedalia, Bothwell Hospital, drug store, grocery store, urgent care and only 2.1 miles to Missouri State Fairgrounds.

House has three bedrooms. One downstairs and two upstairs in addition to a daybed with a trundle that is located in downstairs sitting room. One queen, two full and three twin beds. There is also a baby crib.

Amenities include a wonderful laundry room, fully-equipped kitchen, and a huge fenced backyard with a barbeque grill, picnic table with 8 chairs, and a concrete picnic table and benches. Three flat screen SMART televisions available (55" 50" 32"). Two upstairs and one downstairs

Very homey and tranquil.

Initial conversation with host was friendly and there were snacks and breakfast items provided. Unfortunately, the stairs to the 2 upstairs bedrooms were too steep for my friend to navigate and there was a horrible smell of cigarettes and pet urine. We checked out early the next morning, as there was nowhere else to stay overnight, and reported to the host but we did not hear back.

Linda was so wonderful throughout the entire booking process, and made sure the house was SO neat and tidy for our stay! The home itself is full of character and charm; I personally loved the arches inside and the ceiling. The kitchen is massive as are the common areas and bedrooms! The WiFi was super easy to connect to as well. We were a family of 4 and only stayed one night, but this home could easily accommodate 3 couples or two small families. And being 8 minutes from the State Fairgrounds, the location was perfect. Definitely recommend!

Great house very roomy

We went to a craft show as vendors on state fairgrounds. The house was located very close. We brought our Hershey along. Linda the host is amazing. We had food for us and treats for our dog. We need to come back in November and if available we will definitely stay again. Also anytime we feel the need to escape city life we will book it then also. Loved the house and the kindness of the host !!!!!!

Great older home, Fantastic host, but not 4 bedrooms

This home was originally built in 1900, so expect it to have lots of character. The amenities were great: wi-fi, TV, HVAC, Laundry and BBQ grill etc. We had 5 people (our family) and fit well in the space. Lots of plants and cute little decorations all over the house, it really was quaint. Now, remember this is an older home so some things were not perfect, but that's the charm of a 100 year old home. The check in was easy, and communication was great with the host.There were only 2 reasons this review isn't 5 stars all the way down. Location, not all the properties in the neighborhood are as picturesque as this one. In the morning (around 7am on a weekday) about 17 school buses went down the road, which were quite loud. The only other point I was disappointed on, is that this property is NOT a 4 bedroom. There are 3 bedrooms and a day bed in a room that has no privacy. The property could sleep 8, or 9 people but the "fourth" bedroom doesn't have doors to close and basically connects all the other bedrooms to the bathroom. It worked for us, but from the description I was expected 4 private bedrooms.The host was so nice, she let us some groceries, and there were board games that we played. We had a small problem and she so apologetic about it, and went above and beyond to make our stay a success. Really, a great host.The title sums it up: Quaint older home with a fantastic host, but beware: it isn't 4 private bedrooms.

Great stay

We came to Missouri to see my son graduate from Missouri valley college. When we arrived we had snacks and breakfast items ready for us. We even had dog treats for our sons dog. I was pleased to see tons of towels available as well as multiple sets of dishes.

A great house for a family stay

We had a fantastic stay at this house while in town for a family wedding! The rental was cute and cozy, with comfortable beds and a well-stocked kitchen, complete with groceries upon arrival. It was impeccably clean, with plenty of towels and linens. The fenced backyard was perfect for our dog. We all admired the many house plants and my niece loved counting all the cats she could find in the house represented in paintings, figurines, and decorations. Thanks again!

Perfect Getaway in Sedalia

Our weekend in Sedalia was set, and we found the perfect place to stay. This charming spot, nestled in a quiet neighborhood right next to the Katy Trail, was exactly what we needed. Our four-legged companion loved the fenced backyard, offering plenty of privacy, while we enjoyed the large smart TV with all the streaming options we're used to. The thoughtful touches, like a few groceries waiting for us, were much appreciated. Weā€™ll definitely be back next year for our annual event in Sedalia!

Host had the home set up so nicely for us: had BBQ set up if we wanted, a few staples in the fridge as well as fresh baked cookies. We arrived early and was not a problem to check in a little early. The house was 1 or 2 houses from the KT Trail and a short bike ride to downtown. Perfect location if you're biking the trail.

Awesome House

This house has it all! Itā€™s clean and well stocked! It had everything we needed for our family of 8 and our 4 dogs! The pups especially loved the fenced in back yard where they could roam and play! We were greeted with a fridge full of cold water, some supplies for breakfast and even treats for the dogs! We will definitely stay again if we need to come to Sedalia. Thank you Linda for the great hospitality!!

Fantastic!

This is a lovely property. Spotless when we arrived. Frankly, we never went upstairs because everything we needed was on the first floor - two beds, two full baths, full eat-in kitchen, laundry room, and a nice living room with a large TV with cable. The owner is so thoughtful - communications were excellent, and she left some food for us, including bacon, eggs, bread, and margarine so we whipped up some nice breakfast for ourselves. There are two refrigerators in the kitchen, one full of bottled water. This older home is on a quiet street and is very well maintained, and is within walking distance of the historic downtown district. I highly recommend this rental for your trip to Sedalia! Iā€™m very happy with our choice. The only thing I would call attention to is, if you have a group of 4 or more and you all plan to watch TV at the same time, the living room is a little small, like in most older homes. This is not a complaint, just an observation. I didnā€™t bring my dogs, but this is a great house for people who do. The utility room is large enough to accommodate several dog crates, and opens into a large fenced yard where your pups can run and play. Highly, highly recommended. If we get out to Sedalia again, we would be thrilled to stay there again.

Great katy trail stop over!

Our host was awesome & left us groceries for breakfast & cookies!! Location of the house is just off of the trail & close to downtown. Our party of 6 adults fit nicely.
