Overall for the money it’s a great stay. The only couple issues we had was the water heater was not that great. We ran out of hot water before half the tub was even filled up. That was an issue but we were able to manage. The other issue was the fan in the bedroom up stairs needs replaced it’s about to fall off but again we managed. The couch downstairs needs cleaned a little better if you plan to use the pull out bed. Other than that it was great. Lots of beach chairs and umbrellas in store room. The golf cart was awesome. We had a great time.

Thank you for staying at Beachwalk Villa 5087 and for the helpful review. I’m sorry the water heater ran out of hot water, the upstairs fan that seems loose, and the pull-out couch needed a deeper clean. I’ve passed your notes to maintenance to inspect the heater and secure/replace the fan, and to housekeeping to deep-clean the sofa and check the pull-out bed. Glad you enjoyed the beach gear and golf cart — and that you had a great time overall. We appreciate the feedback.

Lovely house, great location!

This sweet little house is situated in a great spot! Plenty of room for the family to unfold after a long day of fun, and lots of space to come together for meals, inside and out! We enjoyed the bedroom breakdowns, and the bathrooms were nice and spacious - LOTS of storage room! Awesome property!

Nice Rental

Enjoyed our stay at this property. Really nice golf cart to help get around on the resort. There is condensation in the screen on the golf cart which may need to be fixed. Parking can be an issue. Overall this property worked well for us and we would stay here again.

Nice stay

Overall, the condo was nice. Check in was easy and a couple of small issues we found after check in were quickly resolved. A few things to make it a little nicer...there was still sand on the coffee table and kitchen counters when we got there, the upstairs carpet needs replaced, the dryer didn't work properly, windows were very dirty, the umbrella that was supplied was broken, as well as the gate handle to access the beach closet. Overall we had a nice stay.

Great property manager, but this property owner needs to update.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was probably one of the worst rentals I have experienced at SDGR and MyVacation Haven did their best to make it right. The property cleanliness was in question, but MVH made it right. The property itself looks great from pictures, but is in poor shape. The carpets are old and stained, the wall fixtures including towel bars and banisters are lose and falling down. The place needs a thorough cleaning, a paint job and some other updates. The golf cart on the other hand was awesome.

Beachwalk 5087

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is great. Unit is spacious, golf cart was great (it did require new tires during our stay). Unit is tired and in need of a refresh and updates, especially bathrooms. The upstairs toilet runs far too long. MVH was very helpful in this regard, installing a new ceiling fan and fixing toilets, but owners should invest some time. Lacking some basic amenities in the kitchen. There are over 60 glasses taking up all of the cupboard space! Furniture is dated and feels a bit dirty and the carpet upstairs needs to go.

Not very private and needs some TLC

The best thing about this place was the pool. It was bigger than most in the Sandestin neighborhoods. The couch was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable to sit on - also has a big sticky substance in the middle like it was ripped and they glued it back together. The only internet available is for the whole Beachwalk Villa neighborhood, so we had trouble with that. The golf cart was great except that it was rusty and my son was holding on to the handle as we were riding and the whole handle came off. The upstairs floor and stairway creaks like crazy. Feels like it could give in any second. The master bedroom is upstairs, so not waking up the kids in the morning was near impossible if you wanted to come downstairs and get a cup of coffee before they woke up. The master bedroom bed was extremely soft. The outside patio had a great view but you were literally right on top of someone else who might be sitting on their patio. Awkward. The master bath needs some TLC and a good coat of paint. Would not stay here again unless it was crazy cheap. We love the Sandestin area and have stayed on the other side of Hwy 98 many times. Thought we would try the other side for a change. This was not the place to stay. I understand it's a delicate balance....with so many renters its hard to keep things nice, but it seems as if they didn't start with quality. In addition, most of the places we have stayed in had a few things like salt & pepper, coffee filters, etc. This rental requires you empty out everything so we arrived and only had one trash bag, one bag of dishwasher soap, detergent for one load of laundry, one paper towel roll and very little toilet paper. We weren't expecting that the condo would come with everything we need obviously, but typically you'll find a few staples people leave behind. I had ordered groceries for pickup at the Walmart on 98. I had to add to my order 4 times before I picked it up so that we would have enough toilet paper, towels, etc for the whole week. It was a disappointing experience for the amount of money we paid to stay here.

Great place to stay but has maintenance issues.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Villa was perfect size for 6 of us and in a great location. The couch in the living room is uncomfortable to sit on and could be replaced as well as the non reclining chairs but the BIGGEST issue was the air conditioning. It was 76 in the room when we arrived and turning it to 72 and getting it to 72 took all night. When it heated up the next day, the room ended up being 77 WITH the ac running non stop. Maint was called and came twice but nothing was done. I know this isn't normal because 2 other villas rented by my family were kept at 69 and 70 degrees the ENTIRE stay and ours struggled to get below 72 and the upper bedrooms were warm and uncomfortable to sleep in. I'm sorry, but as much as we paid for the stay, I feel like we should have been compensated some for the issue. 2 of our kids stayed down the lane with grandparents a couple nights because it was uncomfortably warm in the bedrooms. Little to no air flow from vents and all we were offered was 2 box fans and one had a broken blade and jumped around if turned on high. Get the ac repaired and it would be a great place to stay again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice location and the golf cart made getting around easy and fun! The golf cart provided is an upgraded/newer model from the one pictured! It also has seat belts which is great if you have little ones. The unit itself was nice and clean. The loft area and bonus room worked great for our group. Someone even stopped by to clean the grill and replace the charcoal! The beach closet is well stocked. Maintenance note--carpeting upstairs is a bit worn and the downstairs bedroom door needs some attention--bottom is splintered.

Family vacation 2022

We love staying at the beachwalk villas. It’s a beautiful gated community and we love the convenience of having a personal golf cart to take us to the beach and the little shopping center. There were some things I think need to be addressed for a better stay though. The carpet was very worn and dirty looking, the master bedroom fan had a loose blade and it shook bad so we couldn’t use it, the subfloors creeked really bad upstairs, and the beach supplies were half broken or corroded so we could not use them. Other than those things it was clean, everything else worked great and the golf cart was super nice, plus there were shuttle passes even though we never used them it was a nice added feature. We will continue to stay at beach walk villas in the future. Oh and something that would be really nice is a designated parking spot for each condo and golf cart that’s clearly marked. The two times we have stayed someone else has taken our only parking spot and that’s very annoying. Just a suggestion though.

Family trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed through My Vacation Haven 3 times now. All the homes have been great but this one wasn’t the best. Love where the Beachwalk Villas are located! Golf cart was very nice! This villa was okay. It could use some updating on furniture the downstairs bedroom dresser needs to be fixed or replaced and it wouldn’t hurt to put full size beds in there. Also the entrance was covered in cob webs, dirt and mildew. The widows at entrance you couldn’t even see through because they are so dirty. So I was a little worried what the inside looked like but it ended up being okay. The back porch was the same way but the sliding doors and trim were so nasty. Maybe pressure wash would help. The beach closet- if you are going to have stuff for vacationers to use please make sure it isn’t broken. Half the toys were broken, and the chairs we were only able to use 2. 1 was broken and the seams on the other were barely holding together. I have pictures if you would like them emailed to you of the outside. But overall we still had a great vacation. Like I said the villa wasn’t terrible it was okay.
