So Glad you enjoyed your stay! So.... you took off a whole star because the ignitor on the grill didn't work? Sorry, the ignitor probably just needed a battery. (which every cottage has backups for remotes and grills) Did you let anyone know about your grill? I live 9 minutes from the cottages and come there frequently after hours to take care of any requests or issues. I think I'm the one who waited on you to arrive shortly after closing. The textline is set up for constant communication with our guests. We strive to always earn 5 stars. There's actually some guidance on how to use those 5 stars online. It's there to assure owners get the stars they deserve. Very helpful since we pride ourselves on maintaining a 5-star rating, and our reputation hinges on our star rating.

Incredible views

The view and cabins are amazing. I'm giving our stay 4 stars because there were limited supplies in the cabin. We stayed for only two nights but those two rolls of toilet paper just weren't enough for a family of four. The only pillows have shams on them. Bring pillows. The view and location are well worth bringing extra toilet paper paper towels, and pillows. We loved the fire pit, outdoor furniture and incredible views. Definitely coming back!!

Kim, thank you for the glowing review! We love hosting great guests. As for the TP issue, I apologize. We used to put in lots of extra (pre-pandemic) but even on 1 night stays EVERYTHING disappears nowadays. (go figure)So yes, it's a good idea to always BYOTP! The extra pillows in Sunset & Beachcomber are always in the big storage bags where the hide-a-bed bedding is. (for your future visits) So glad your group enjoyed your stay and we look forward to hosting you again. Coni

Sunset View

The location and view of the lake on this property were amazing. However, the inside was disappointing. Old furnishings and not very clean. No trashbags to be found. And the beds were the worst mattresses we have ever used. Every move was countered by a loud screeching noise, and none of our family members got much sleep. This place has a lot of potential but needs a lot of inside care.

Kelly, Sunset View is a beautiful cottage. No one has ever complained about the squeaky mattress until you all so we had no way of knowing. It has been replaced. Thank you for bringing it to our attention! The furnishings are selected by the owners. This particular one is not everyone's taste although we've had a lot of folks that love it. It is not really "old furnishing" it's Old English style furniture. Once again not everyone's taste. If you like that floor plan and the view then when you return you might select Beachcomber. Its bright & beachy. Rockport is also very bright. Another Memory is another good choice. Sometimes its best to call and tell us what you're looking for and we can help you pick a cottage that is perfect for you! I hope you give us another chance to win a 5 star review and make you happy! Mattress was terrible

We loved this cottage and the view. I had read reviews where it was mentioned that the mattress on one of the beds was saggy, but the owner commented that the mattress had been replaced. And YES, the mattress in the MBR was excellent, but the iron bed in the other bedroom was so obviously saggy that my daughter and her husband put one of the couch cushions in the 'dip' during the night, but it didn't help. So please, replace that mattress!!! Otherwise, the cabin was very clean, which I appreciate, but if it wouldn't have been for the cleaning lady that was there when we arrived, we wouldn't have known to go to the little store to check in and get a key. It was not in the vrbo info I received the day we were to arrive.

Short but sweet...

....was our stay at the Sunset View property. The weather was cold and wet but the cabin was warm and cozy and made for an enjoyable family gathering. I highly recommend.

Beautiful view!

This cottage gets an A+ for location and views! We loved our stay here and would definitely book it again. The cabin was roomy, nicely furnished, and acceptably clean. The parking and access ramp to the cabin were good, too. That said, the furnishings in the cottage need a little TLC and a bit of upkeep. Small things like missing lightbulbs, a broken lamp in the living room, and some outdoor furniture that looked too wobbly to even attempt sitting in. Nothing that kept us from thoroughly enjoying our stay, but I put this out there for the cottage owners to be aware that there are minor issues that need to be addressed. Also, there is no WIFI (they state this up front) except at the restaurant in the marina. But the entertainment system is fine, with plenty of premium channels and every room has a TV. We loved the restaurant and bar at the marina (TRY THE FRIES) and walking along the edge of the marina, looking at the boats and the lake. It was very windy while we were there, and no one was boating much during our stay. It would have been fun to watch the boats on the lake, but the lake itself is quite beautiful and very relaxing to sit and watch the water. We enjoyed the outdoor (gas) fire pit very much. This is a great central location for visiting the Pioneer Woman Mercantile in Pawhuska, and also for visiting various places in Tulsa (like the Aquarium--go see it!). Definitely recommend this one for your next trip to OK.
