To the north, the Welsh coastline is perfect for days spent relaxing on the beach or walking the Wales Coast Path. Head up to Abergele (5 miles) to uncover its shops and eateries before visiting Gwrych Castle and spending an afternoon on the sands of Pensarn Beach. Further along the coast, Colwyn Bay (8.5 miles) charms with its soft sand beach and traditional seaside attractions. To the west, the resort of Llandudno (16 miles) makes for another great day by the sea. For long hikes and dramatic scenery, Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park can be reached within 12 miles.


Before stepping into this beautiful cottage, take a moment to savour its stone-built exterior and peaceful village setting. Head inside and find that the charm continues in the form of homely comforts and a calming decor that makes it easy to unwind. Be greeted by a light-filled kitchen/diner. This characterful space features everything needed for cooking up Welsh feasts, which can be enjoyed at the bespoke wooden dining table or at the breakfast bar if numbers are low. After each meal, move through to the sleek lounge, where soft seating is arranged around a warming wood burner and Smart TV – perfect for cosy movie nights. At the end of each day, head upstairs to the first floor, where you’ll find a choice of three elegant, river-view bedrooms: a master super-king-size room, a king-size bedroom and a cosy single ideal for children or an additional guest. Completing the home, a family shower room features a walk-in shower and WC.


Spill outside as often as possible and make full use of the enclosed garden. Featuring a lawned area, a furnished patio, and a charcoal BBQ, this is the best spot to gather for garden games, al fresco meals, and evening tipples.
