This guest was not only unreasonable , but also extremely threatening , and demeaning. He messaged me no less than 65 times regarding the use of the smart enabled TV's in the house. I assured him that all the TV's were streaming only , and that we did not offer specific advise on how to operate each TV, as they are all different. I also advised that most of the smart functions of the TV's were dependent on the guest providing their subscription, and that we did not provide subscriptions . There was however , free content that did not require a subscription. Regarding the thermostat, there is a sign placed by the thermostat to please do not set the thermostat below 73 degrees during the summer ( AC season) and above 78 degrees in the winter ( heating season) He proceeded to argue that it was not summer and that he should have been permitted to put the ac on whatever temperature he wanted . I'm sorry he did not agree with our house rules. He threatened to leave a bad review unless I personally showed up to show him how to operate the TVs. I explained that we do not give specific advice on how to tune the TVs, and coupled with his condescending, demeaning , and threatening attitude , I told him I would not be making a visit. I've been an Airbnb super host with over 20 units for 10 years straight. I have over 2900 reviews. I reached out to VRBO to please provide a solution for this guest , but they did not respond. Upon inspection after he left , I provided pictures of all the TV's working as advertised , posted them on the message thread , and asked VRBO to remove his negative review , and address his threatening comments on the message thread , but they have done neither.
