L&L River Haus is pure country--Texas Hill Country. A charming farmhouse, it boasts plenty of room for families or groups who just want to relax by the river and watch the remains of the day. With plenty of opportunity to view wildlife or watch stars on an inky night, L & L River Haus is close enough to Fredericksburg for excursions into town for a fun filled day.

Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC) Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions, and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible.

Will Stay Again - Great Place to Get Out In The Hill Country!

This house is just perfect for anyone looking for a convenient stay in Harper, TX or trying to get away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful scenery and amazing hosts. Great spot in the Texas Hill Country.

Wonderful Ranch Stay

It was a true blessing to have stayed at River Haus. Larry and Linda were the most wonderful hosts. We so much enjoyed viewing the wildlife and animals on the ranch. The peaceful atmosphere and the setting was so relaxing. We definitely hope to return again in the future.

Relaxing and beautiful

My husband and I had a relaxing and peaceful time. The owners are so kind and very helpful. They also respected our privacy. We were able to enjoy Fredericksburg, Harper, and other near by towns. We enjoyed the rustic beauty of the place and the starry night sky.

2nd stay and will be back

Love the wildlife and the old well-maintained farmhouse . Larry and Linda are top notch owners and so accommodating. Feeding Radar the deer from our hands is a highlight. Beautiful country spot with endless stars at night.

My in-laws from the Northeast stayed in this beautiful home. They were visiting for our son’s wedding. They absolutely loved it and wished they could’ve stayed longer! Linda & Larry are great hosts and the home has everything needed for an easy, comfortable experience in the Texas Hill Country!!

Relaxing

My husband and I stayed a few days here for our anniversary. It was everything we thought it would be and more! The owners were super nice. They took us for a ride around their property. They would always stop and speak if they saw us outside. The views were amazing. The house was charming. It was the perfect stay.

Excellent Fredericksburg Experience

If you are looking for a laid back, close to nature experience the L&L River Haus is the place to stay. The owners are on site and the are so welcoming. Radar the deer is so cute and the ranch chicken loves handouts. The running river water is relaxing and the stars…. no light pollution at the River Haus. The farm house was very comfortable as well.

Prefect time in the hill country

First of all pictures do not do this home justice! The home is soo beautiful and cozy, everything you’ll need and more. Perfect for kids and the property is beautiful, lovely animals,Owners are so sweet and nice. Wish we didn’t have to get back home for work so soon! We will definitely be back.

Relaxing and Peaceful

The house everything we wanted and more! The owners were so sweet to us, our daughter and her friend! They were able to feed goats, cows, deer and horses. The pool table was great entertainment for us in the mornings and evenings while we were winding down. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and property with us. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back!

Relaxing Location

This is the place to stay for relaxing and getting away from it all. A short drive to Fredericksburg but far enough away to feel as though you are out of the hustle and bustle. The early 1920 farm house has history galore and is comfortable and enjoyable. Be aware ADA is a little challenging, a guest on a walker who can take larger steps did fine but a wheel chair would not fit. The host family was wonderful and informative and enjoyed sharing their land. We look forward to coming back and bringing our kids

Peaceful

So peaceful and extremely clean. Cute farmhouse with adorable decorations! Chickens and deer run the property. Radar is a deer you can hand feed so bring him some corn!! We loved it. Owners live on property and are so nice. I want to stay again for a longer time!

Amazing place

Amazing is an understatement. This is such a relaxing beautiful place. Larry and Linda were absolutely wonderful host. They were helpful and even gave us a safe place to park our vehicle when a storm came in. The home is so welcoming. One of the greatest highlights was Radar and the chickens. Enjoyed a cup of coffee overlooking the river and feeding Radar apples. I can't recommend this place enough. We can't wait to return.

Fabulous escape in the hill country

Amazing doesn't even come close to describing L&L. Linda and Larry are fantastic host and make you feel so welcomed. Radar is the star of the show and loves to share apples with you (such a sweet deer). The home is clean and perfect. I can't to return. 8

Beautiful hill country view!

The home was immaculate, comfortable, charming and beautiful. The owners were on-site and gave us a tour of the property. It was wonderful to hear the family history of their ranch. The deer were so much fun to watch. The sunsets by the fireplace were peaceful and serene. We had a wonderful weekend! Close enough to Fredericksburg to get there easily but out in the hill country where the stars were shining bright against the night sky with no light pollution. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing...a great getaway!

The German Farmhouse

25 minutes from Fredericksburg, this was the perfect spot for our stay. The house was very cozy and perfectly appointed. We arrived in the area and to our dismay, there were no grocery stores or resturants nearby. We got to the house with a pizza we ordered at a convenience mart in town. Got to the house and the host had snacking stuff there. Our need for coffe was also met and the house is amazing. We stayed 3 nights and I could have stayed forever. There are farm animals and wildlife all around. We absolutely loved it Ths owners of the house live on the property and were the most gracious hosts anyone could wish for. Super cute house. If we are ever in the area again, I hope we can stay there again.
